Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology Campus Facilities - Hostel Fees, Infrastructure, Address

The Library is housed in a spacious building constructed on modern and functional lines. The Library has an area of 990 sq.m. Seating arrangement is designed in order to accommodate 130 readers at a time. The college offers a very comfortable living accommodation with separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus under the care of resident wardens. There is one hostel for boys and one for girls with enough space to accommodate the out station students. A medical inspection room is available with 5 beds in the campus for the students with a resident doctor and a visiting doctor and staff nurses. When necessary, the members are referred and treated at Meenakshi Medical Hospital at Maduravoil, who are retainers for the college. There is a canteen for the benefit of students, staff and visitors, provide food at subsidized rate. Apart from this, a fast food center, which is a part of the canteen.

Following facilities are provided in the Hostel

• The college has separate hostel facilities for men and women with all amenities. Utmost care is taken to serve wholesome food. Adequate security arrangements have been provided for safety and security of the inmates.
• The women's hostel houses around 100 women. It has an independent kitchen, mess, health equipments, common room with Telephone facilities.
• The Men's hostel accommodates up to 400men with a separate mess, common room etc. Considerable stress is laid on a clean and healthy environment.
• The hostel provides hygienic and quality food to suit diverse tastes and preferences. A comfortable mess hall has also been provided. The hostel rooms are provided with table, chairs, cupboards, beds, common bath, and hot water facilities. The other common facilities include availability of telephone and television.
• All the members have to live together and enjoy the common life in a hostel. We provide a happy and healthy life in a hostel. We provide a happy and healthy atmosphere by caring for each one and by fostering a spirit of friendliness and understanding. The members are expected to establish a cordial, good relationship with one another and to imbibe the sprit of togetherness, oneness and to make this SMIT hostel an experience of joyful residence, a home away from their home.
