The institution functions with separate departments for all the subjects with the best possible practical/ lab/ clinical sections. The most advanced digital X-ray systems and diagnostic aids, dental software, the latest restorative equipment and, materials, keep the students in lieu with the rapidly progressing dental sciences.
With a well-equipped campus for study, research and practice, the college have adequate residential facilities. The on campus hostel accommodations are in close proximity to the college and hospital. The boys’ hostel has 30 rooms and the girls' hostel has 60 rooms accommodating students on a double occupancy basis. The mess is run on a cost-sharing basis. Based on the opinion of the borders, the mess committee will decide upon the menu which consists of both vegetarian and nonvegetarian preparations. The hostel fees which includes the caution deposit, mess deposit, mess advance and the room rent will be collected at the time of admission.
Taking into consideration the fact that majority of the students of Sri Sankara Dental College are females, a women’s cell was constituted with 2 staff members of the college, Dr. Seema. G (Prof. Dept. of periodontics) and Dr. Shanti Swarup (Sr. Lecturer, Dept. of Pedodontics). The main function of the cell was to look into the grievances of the females studying in Sri Sankara Dental College.
