Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune begins the admission process for MBA, Executive MBA, and PG Diploma courses as per dfferent timelines. Initially, SIBM begins the admission process for MBA programme in August every year. The admission process for MBA course begins with the publication of official admission notification for the same. All the students who wish to secure MBA admission in SIBM must clear SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test). The entrance test will be conducted in December.
Candidates applying for the Executive MBA programme of SIBM need to clear SNAP. SIBM conducts a separate admission process for the Executive MBA programme, and the eligibility criterion for the same is different from the MBA programme. The admission process for SIBM Executive MBA programme begins in the month of February.
SIBM offers PGD (Post Graduate Diploma) courses in Financial Management, Marketing, Innovation & Corporate Entrepreneurship, and Supply Chain & Operations Management. The admission process for SIBM PGD programmes begins in the month of February. There is no entrance exam for PGD programmes offered by SIBM.
SIBM will release an individual information brochure or notification for MBA, Executive MBA, and PGD courses. The candidates can fill the online application form for these courses through the official website of SIBM.
Admissions in the MBA courses of SIBM Pune are done through SNAP scores. Given below is the application process.

Complete the registration process by providing your phone number and email ID.
Login using the created credentials and complete the SNAP Application Form.
Pay the application fee and submit the form.
Candidates must also submit a separate application along with the fee for SIBM Pune.
The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50% of marks (45% for reserved category students). Candidates pursuing final-year Bachelor’s degree course can also register for SIBM MBA programme. All the applicants must clear SNAP entrance test conducted by Symbiosis Deemed University for MBA admission.
The SIBM selection process for MBA course involves three stages. The candidates must show impressive performance in three stages of SIBM MBA selection process to secure admission. The detailed selection process for SIBM MBA course is elaborated below –
Stage I – Shortlisting of Candidates:
SIBM shortlists the applicants for MBA course based on his/ her performance in SNAP entrance exam. The list of candidates shortlisted based on SNAP score will be uploaded on the official website of SIBM. Only the shortlisted candidates will be eligible to take part in the subsequent stages of the selection process.
State II – GE, PI & WAT:
The shortlisted candidates will be called to participate in Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Written Ability Test. All these activities will take place at SIBM, and the candidates must appear for these activities on the scheduled date. The group exercise includes Group Discussion. Written Ability Test (WAT) is conducted to test the analytical skills of the candidates. The personal interview is conducted to test the candidate’s aptitude, the purpose of choosing management education etc.
Stage III – Final Selection:
The final selection of the candidates will be based on overall performance in SNAP, Group Exercise, WAT, and PI. The previous academic performance of the candidate will be also taken into consideration for the final selection.
SIBM Scoring Mechanism
SIBM determines components and weightage for final selection only at the time of the selection process. The candidate will be assessed on various parameters such as the entrance test score, academic performance, diversity, profile, work experience (if any) etc.
The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% of marks. The applicants must have a minimum of three years of work experience. Only the candidates with prior work experience will be considered for the Executive MBA selection process.
SIBM conducts a written exam for Executive MBA applicants. The written exam will have 60 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) based General/Business Awareness, Logical reasoning and English. After the written test, the candidates will have to participate in the Personal Interview. The final selection of candidates will be based on overall performance in written test, personal interview, previous academic record, work experience and profile. The list of candidates selected for the Executive MBA programme will be published on the official website of SIBM.
The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% of marks.
PGD applicants of SIBM will be called for Personal Interview. The personal interview will be conducted at SIBM, and the candidates must be present for the same on the scheduled date. The selection of the candidates will be based on his/ her performance in the personal interview.
