Symbiosis Institute of Design Admission 2025 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

SID Pune admission is based on the scores that students attain in their previous academic exams. Institute offers a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in various disciplines like communication design, industrial design, fashion design, and fashion communication. SID Pune SEED 2022 application form was released on September 5.  The last date for SEED 2022 registration is November 30, 2022. Admission to the programme is done through the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED).

The institute has an online and an offline mode of admission. The institute's main target is to select eligible candidates based on merit, and sometimes students get some relaxation in their scores if they fall under a specific category. All the courses at SID Pune are recognized by UGC.

• Class 12 Marks:

Candidates who wish to apply for any course at Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune should have 50% in their 12th standard exams from a recognized institute. For SC / ST and OBCs, they need to have at least 45% aggregate marks in Class 12 exams.

• Other Methods:

For all specialisations at SID Pune, the candidate needs to clear the entrance exam – SEED which is conducted by the institute itself.

• Document Submission:

One needs to submit a few documents, such as their previous year's mark sheets, their entrance exam results, their identity proofs, and other necessary documents. These documents are verified by the admission cell and the candidate’s application form is only accepted once the documents have been verified completely. 

B.Des

• Candidates should have completed their Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized institute. 
• Candidates must qualify the SEED entrance exam. 

To ease out the application procedure, the admission portal of SID Pune is designed in a user-friendly way. Students have to fill out an application form on the official website. The portal will ask for several details, such as basic information, personal information, education details, etc. The applicants will also have to provide scanned copies of the required documents, provide their payment details, and pay the application fee.

Online Admission Process-:

To get admission to SID Pune through the online process, a person can simply log in to the institute`s online link and then select the proffered course according to the criteria mentioned for every course online. The basic login details will be created, and the phone number and email address will be verified in the first step. The institute will then share all the login details to the person's email address. The student can then apply for the desired course by paying the mentioned application fees online through a card, UPI, or net banking. They can quickly get the application confirmation within minutes. The students will then receive an admission offer letter from the institute and have to upload their documents accordingly. 

The student will get an admission acceptance letter from the institute. The final step will be to pay the fees for the specific course and complete the admission process.

Offline Admission Process-:

Suppose a student wants to enrol in a course at the institute through the offline method. In that case, they can easily do so by visiting the campus themselves and getting all the relevant documents from the admission department. The student can easily fill out the admission form with all the relevant details asked. The student will then have to submit the course fees at the accounts counter of the institute and be issued their enrolment letter. 

At the end of the process, the students get their admission letter, which confirms their admission to SID Pune.

The counselling process is carried out once the candidate has been shortlisted for a particular course at Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune. The counselling centre is mostly at the institute, making it easy for the candidate.

The candidate is given a particular date and time when they need to come for counselling. This process helps them to understand the different fields and specialisations available at this institute.
