The Tilak Dhari PG College also known as the TD College was established in 1914 by Sri Tilak Dhari Singh as an English Middle School. It later acquired the status of a degree college in 1947 and was affiliated with Agra University. The affiliation shifted to Gorakhpur University in 1956 and now is affiliated with Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU). It received Postgraduation status in 1970.
