A registered, non-profit service organisation, Umalok Charitable Trust Meerut was established in 2002. The first college to be established by this trust was the Umalok Group of Institutions (UGI) in 2004. The UGI Meerut conducts direct admissions by evaluating the candidate's prior academic performance. For some courses, entrance exam results are taken into account in addition to a counselling procedure.
