LibraryKamarajar Memorial Library
Widely acknowledged as one of the best libraries in the state, our library system comprises Kamarajar Memorial Library and six departmental libraries to support teaching, learning, research activities and dissemination of information.

The College Library, established in the year 2010, was functioning in the main building of the college till 2012. Recently, it has been named Kamarajar Memorial Library and shifted, to a spacious area of 50,500 sq.ft.

The prime objective of Central Library is to provide the right information to the right readers of the institution at the right time in the right manner by bibliographic sources and full-text sources in the form of print as well as digital from the multi-discipline on Engineering, Technology, Science & Humanities, Management, General, etc., which are kept in separate places such as Stack Section, Reference Section, Periodical Section and Digital Section for easy to access exactly.

VVCOE gents hostel provides homely environment for our students who stay in our hostels. We provide good residential facilities, calm and hygienic environment. We take pains to take care of our student's health and nurture them with nutritious food. We facilitate them with good rooms to stay in, Television, study table in each room, maintains hygienic and clean restrooms. We also provide them with 24-hours water supply, power backup and Wi-Fi connectivity. Warden is always available in their door step in attending immediately immediately to the hostelite's discomfort. Single room accommodation can also be opted and it can be sanctioned according to our availability
Ladies Hostel
VVCOE ladies hostel provides homely environment and additional security for our women students who stay in our hostels. We also have hostel grievance cell to record complaint on any disturbance they face during their stay inside our campus. We provide the good residential facilities, calm and hygienic environment. VVCOE provides 24-hours medical assistance for our students. It gives immediate attention for emergency cases and takes the necessary care

Browsing centre
Our Data Centre is connected to the world wide web with the help of a 50Mbps leased line connection from Airtel . Routing and load balancing are done with the help of firewall. Illegal and unwanted website access are blocked with the help of firewall. Content Filtering Gateways are used which deny access to specific websites to a specific group of users.

Wi-Fi connectivity
All the labs are connected to the core switch through fibre. Wireless LAN facility is provided in the campus and its infrastructure is maintained by Motorola and Ruckus products. The students and staff can get connected to internet through Wi-fi with their own AD username and password. This permits to track student's online activities. In case of requestion guests are also provided with guest passwords.

24 hour power backup
VVCOE enabled 24-hours back up for unexpected emergencies. VVCOE does not leave our students in dark, we guide them even during power cuts.
Cafeteria and DiningStudents enjoy a hygienic dining experience with a variety of subsidised meals, provided in a clean and welcoming cafeteria environment.
Sports FacilitiesSPORTS FACILITIES
The college’s sports complex covers an area of 9.15 acres in which students can play indoor and outdoor games. The grounds and fields are constructed in a beautiful and tranquil setting, and are of high standards. Well experienced and qualified instructors train the students in various sports and games and encourage our students to participate in various sports activities.

The Management extends its fullest support for the students to actively participate in sports. The Physical Education Department toils to identify the extraordinary talents of the students and train them to achieve nationally.

Research CentersOur V V campus is witnessing an exponential growth in Research and Development activities. Our management promotes collaborative research and consultancies and installation of research facilities. Apart from teaching by our faculty members, research gains its momentum day by day. Research papers are being published by our faculty members in different refereed journals of international and national repute. Research papers are being presented in various conferences, seminars and symposia organized at national and international levels.

Our institution's various departments are recognized Research Centres of Anna University, Chennai. Each department has separate research lab for doing research and consultancy works.

Our institute has signed MOUs with industries and institutions to promote collaborative research and consultancies. The Management and Principal encourage and support all the faculty members to do research and many of our faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D. Degree in various universities. A research cell has been formed to inculcate research culture in our institution.

Technical EventsFire Safety Awareness and Hands on Training – 16-08-2024
Fire safety awareness and hands on training program was conducted to vv college of engineering students(Male and female ) faculty (teaching and non teaching) through NSS/YRC/RRC unit at conference hall and Mechanical Portico on 16-08-2024.

Our principal Dr. P. Vanitha inaugurated the function, Mr. P. Esakki, Station fire officer gave awareness about fire safety and rescue, Mr. Sathish, Primary fire rescuer, showed a demo using students. Then, for students and faculty a hands on training conducted by fire safety officers lively at Mechanical Portico.

Anti Drug Pledge – 12-08-2024
As per the instructions from the government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, an “Anti-Drug Pledge” was conducted for Academic Year 2024-2025 batch first year students on 12-08-2024 at Conference Hall.

The National Service Scheme, The Youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club of V V College of Engineering, Thoothukudi organized the function.

Dr. P. Vanitha, Principal, V V College of Engineering, started the programme at 10:30am.

Mr. Simon Christopher, NSS Program Officer, delivered welcome address.

Ms. P. Anitha, Inspector of Police, Thattarmadam, delivered a speech about awareness of Drug.

250 Students from various departments and 20 staff members (Teaching and Non-Teaching) from various departments participated in this program.

The anti-drug pledge was read by NSS programme officer and the students took the same at once.

Blood donation camp – 28-03-2024
A successful Blood Donation Camp was held at VVCOE Campus, organized by NSS, YRC, and RRC in collaboration with Thoothukudi Medical College and Muthaloor Government Primary Health Centre. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the students and faculty who participated in this noble cause and contributed to saving lives through their generosity. NSS Special Camp – 2023-2024
National Welfare Special Camp organised by NSS cell - V V College of Engineering in Ittamozhi-pudur village, the function was presided over by several dignitaries including Mrs. C. Sumathi Suresh, the President of Ittamozhi-pudur Panchayat; Mrs. S. Prema Ebenezer, Union Counselor from Nanguneri; and Dr. K. S. Saji, the Principal of VVCOE. Date: 22-03-2024 to 28-03-2024

FREE EYE SCREENING CAMP ON 08-01-2024
“A Free eye screening camp” was conducted by Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital and institute of Opthalmology for all students, faculty (Teaching and Non-teaching), office staff, drivers and sweepers on 08-01-2024 at Hall 101 – Ground floor. The National Service Scheme, The Youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club organized the function. Dr. K. S. Saji, Principal, started the programme at 10:30am.

They demonstrated the following topics:

300 Students from various departments and 38 staff members (Teaching and Non Teaching) from various departments participated in this program. World Wildlife Day - 2023, on 03.03.2023
NSS Cell of VVCOE organized an Awareness Program on World Wildlife Day - 2023, on 03.03.2023.

Ms.Manasir Haleema, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Tamilnadu Forest and Wildlife Crime Control Bureau, Madurai zone, addressed the students and faculty members through video conference mode.

Thiru M.ILAYARAJA, IFS, District Forest Officer, Kanyakumari District, interacted with the students and cleared the doubts of students.

Republic day Program on 26.01.2023
NSS Unit of V V College of Engineering organised 74th Republic Day Celebrations in VVCOE Campus on 26.01.2022. Principal Dr. K. S. Saji Presided over the function and hoisted the National Flag.

Clean India Program at Uvari Beach on 20.10.2022
As a part of Swatch Barath, Clean India 2.0, Cleaning activities are carried out in Uvari Sri Suyambu Linga Swamy Temple and Beach at Uvari on 20.10.2022 by NSS volunteers of VV College of Engineering and around 60 Kgs of plastic wastes are handed over to SWM workers.

Independence Day Celebration on 15.08.2022
NSS Unit of V V College of Engineering organised 76th Independence Day Celebrations in VVCOE Campus on 15.08.2022. Principal Dr. K. S. Saji Presided over the function and hoisted the National Flag.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION
The Youth Red Cross, Red Ribbon Club and National Service Scheme of V V College of Engineering, Thoothukudi organized a International Yoga Day Celebration on 15th June 2023.

Mr. B. K. Geddan and team from Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Center, Tirunelveli conducted the program effectively.

60 Volunteer Students from various departments and 20 staff members (Teaching and Non Teaching) from various departments participated in this program. They are practiced with the help of Yoga team effectively.

ONLINE CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAMME
The Youth Red Cross Society, V V College of Engineering, Thoothukudi organized a Online career guidance Programme on 18th December 2021.

The pogramme conducted from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm using Unacademy Learner (Mobile app).

The Chief guest, Mr. R. Vivekanandan, Gate educator, Unacademy (PAN INDIA) conducted the webinar session.

The Webinar session covered,
i) What are engineering and non – engineering government jobs
ii) Preparation strategy for GATE
iii) GATE Vs Non GATE PSU’S Vs Other Government jobs
iv) DDR (Double Digit Rank) Secrets
v) How to prepare effectively from home
vi) How Government exam preparation help with placement preparation
Among 346 students attended, 270 were active participants(full session). Faculty members from various deparments participated in this pogramme and updated their knowledge.

The YRC programme officer, Mr. P. Anand Prabu, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, faculty members and students of YRC volunteers made all the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the programme.

NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY & FIRST YEAR ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
The Youth Red Cross Society, V V College of Engineering, Thoothukudi organized a National Education Day and First Year Orientation Programme on 11th November 2021.

This National Education Day and First Year Orientation Programme provided a flourishing platform for the students and faculty members to explore and share their expertise in the recent advances in the field of Engineering studies.

Mrs. Idavathi Gunaseeli, Faculty of S&H Department welcomed the gathering. Dr. K. S. Saji, Principal, V V College of Engineering presided over the function and delivered the presidential address. The Chief guest, Mr. Nambikkai Rama, SBET – Director – Satkriya Group, Chennai motivated to get successful in your life, most importantly, you need to set your objectives, those things which will help you to achieve a goal. Finally, Dr. Hariharasubramanian, Head of the Department of S & H delivered the vote of thanks.

About 200 students and 25 faculty members participated in this pogramme and updated their knowledge.
