VIT Pune B.Tech in Computer Engineering - Fees, Eligibility, Seats and Admission 2024

Overall: Overall, my experience at VIT Pune was good. The course was advanced and practical sessions were held to make us understand the programming languages even more. The campus life was lively. The student crowd was welcoming. There was no ragging. My course was four years in duration. The fees was Rs 6.26 lakh per year.

Placement: Around 90% of students secured placements from our batch. The highest package was Rs 41 LPA. I was able to secure a package of 6 LPA and was placed in Wipro. Many of the students received offers from top companies like nVidia, IBM, L&T, and more.

Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is extremely high grade. Every classroom had a projector and was well ventilated. Our labs were wifi enabled. The library had numerous books from basic to advanced levels.

Faculty: The teachers were nice and friendly. Some of the teachers were passouts from IITs, NITs, etc. The classes were interactive and question answer sessions were held quite often.

Hostel: The hostel was nice and clean. Neatness was maintained. The rooms and washrooms were cleaned regularly. We had wifi access in the hostel premises. The mess food was average but healthy. The hostel fees was 1 lakh.

The hostels are equipped with round-the-clock security personnel and surveillance systems to ensure a safe living environment. Access to hostel premises is typically restricted to residents and authorized personnel only, with entry and exit monitored for enhanced security. Application Process: Students interested in availing hostel accommodation need to apply during the admission process or as per the hostel admission schedule announced by the college.

Faculty Expertise: The faculty at VIT comprises experienced professionals and experts in their respective fields, who impart knowledge and mentor students, ensuring their holistic development. But some faculties are not good, but this is same for all colleges. Extracurricular Activities: The college encourages extracurricular activities, such as clubs, cultural events, and sports, fostering the all-round development of students and promoting a vibrant campus culture.Clubs are core of this college more than 40 clubs are there. Areas for Improvement: Research Culture: While VIT excels in academic pursuits, there is room for enhancing the research culture within the institution, encouraging students and faculty to engage in cutting-edge research and innovation. Industry Relevance: Continuously aligning the curriculum with industry trends and emerging technologies would further enhance the industry relevance of programs offered at VIT, ensuring students are well-prepared for the demands of the professional world. Infrastructure Expansion: As the college grows, there may be a need for further infrastructure expansion to accommodate the increasing student population and provide enhanced facilities for academic and extracurricular activities.

Placement: Placements are quite good for CS, IT branch you can expect above 12 lakhs if you are in CS branch , and for core branches like mech, entc , chemical engineering placement are below average

Faculty: Some faculties are very good and have sound knowledge of their domain , but their are few faculties, which are not expert in their domain and the behaviour of all faculties is quite good

Hostel: Vishwakarma Institute of Technology in Pune does not offer on-campus hostel facilities.
