VMOU Campus
The motive and aim behind establishing the Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University were to provide easy access to education. Setting up such open universities proved to be a boon for students of the state of Rajasthan. VMOU has 7 regional centers in AJMER, BIKANER, JAIPUR, JODHPUR, KOTA, UDAIPUR, and BHARATPUR to provide a quality open learning opportunity to the students. VMOU also provides study material at affordable prices and at the doorsteps of the students. Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University offers various student support services, counseling, and flexible time schedule for the students to fulfill its goal in the best way. VMOU is a very good option for students who desire higher education but due to poor financial resources are not able to do so. At present, the University is offering about 68 academic courses. VMOU also provides the facility of e-learning through its dedicated mobile app Digisaksham.
Central Library
VMOU has an impressive central library. The library's principal mission is to assist The university's teaching and research programmes by providing physical and intellectual access to knowledge. In line with The university's goals, the library aspires to establish a comprehensive collection of papers helpful to users.
Acquisition, Technical, Circulation, Periodicals, Stack, Reference, Computer Lab, Audio-Visual, and others are major areas of the library. The majority of the parts have basic infrastructure. The central library is housed in a lovely round-shaped structure with a total built-up area of 2036.00 square meters.
The VMOU library has a large collection of reference books, textbooks, journals, competition books, theses, dissertations, CDs of books, bound volumes of journals, audio-visual cassettes, and other materials in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, and Technology disciplines. It features a section dedicated to education and distance learning. The library has a unique and remarkable collection of Mahatma Gandhi's books and reference books.
