XLRI summer placements take place from October-November and it is an 8-10 week long summer internship programme to offer students exposure to real-life situations. The lateral placements at XLRI Jamshedpur take place from December-January and this is especially for companies to hire candidates who have work experience. The final placements take place in February and the business houses look forward to hiring future business leaders.
The placement process at XLRI Jamshedpur involves pre-placement talks given by the companies to give students an idea about the company’s culture and the profiles. Then, companies proceed with the resume shortlisting process according to their selection criteria. Companies organise the recruitment process on the campus during the placement week and then make offers to the students. Students who take up the offers then join the respective companies post-March.
XLRI managed to achieve 100 per cent placement for 2017-19 batch. There were more than 100 recruiters who offered more than 350 domestic as well as international officers. Some of the top segments based on the kind of roles offered were sales and marketing, BFSI and consulting. The Boston Consulting Group made the highest number of offers apart from some of the regular recruiters such as Amazon, Microsoft, ITC, Hindustan Unilever, Aditya Birla Group, JUbiliant Foodworks, Ola, Udaan, Experion.

Xavier Labour Relations Institutes (XLRI) Jamshedpur has concluded the Summer Internship Placement (SIP) process for the batch of 2018-20 in just two days. The 2018 batch comprising of 362 students has achieved 100% placements this year. The highest stipend offered to the students was Rs. 1.65 Lakh Per Month. Over 95 companies participated in the placement process and offered internships in various domains such as Industrial Relations (IR), Human Resources (HR), Business Development/ Management (BM), operations, sales and marketing, finance and consulting. This year, many new companies also participated in the placements.

The placements at XLRI Jamshedpur have been concluded with a total of 370 offers and the average salary for the current batch turned out to be Rs. 20.2 lakh per annum. XLRI placements 2018 have been quite successful with a 4% rise in the overall placements. The institute recorded 100% placements this year and 132 firms participated in the placements.
XLRI Placements 2018 also saw participation from Public Sector Undertakings such as GAIL, IOCL and HPCL. Firms offered jobs across different domains including consulting, general management, finance, marketing, etc. Some of the first time recruiters included India Health Action Trust and National Housing Bank.

Chairperson at XLRI PGDM Placements, Prof Uday Damodaran, said that this has been an excellent year for the institute in terms of placements. XLRI students bagged excellent jobs through PPOs as well as placement drives, he added.
Damodaran also thanked the participating firms for showing faith in XLRI students and offering them excellent roles. He also informed that there has been an increase in the number of placements as well as the number of offers rolled out at XLRI.
XLRI Jamshedpur has wrapped up the final placement process for the PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) batch 2017-19. The PGDM HRM and PGDM BM 2017-19 batch of XLRI Jamshedpur comprises of 358 students, and all the students were able to secure the jobs n campus placements. XLRI Jamshedpur PGDM 2017-19 batch recorded 100% placements in just two days after the commencement of placement process.

The Summer Internship Placements offers and stipends for 2017 had increased compared to 2016 summer internship placement. The 2017-19 batch of XLRI Jamshedpur consists of 364 students and all the students have managed to secure jobs in different firms/ sectors/ domains.
Xavier School of Management (XLRI) School of Business successfully completed its Summer Internship placements. The institute achieved 100% placements within a span of only two and half days. All 361 students of the first batch (2016-18) got placed with attractive offers.A total of 90 companies participated in the event and offered over 150 roles to the students.
Students were offered roles from consulting, finance, sales and marketing, operations to business development (BM), industrial relations (IR) and human resources (HR), students were offered jobs in a lot of streams.
XLRI lived up to its reputation. As it was ranked 13 among the top 100 management colleges in India in the ‘India Ranking Report 2016’ prepared by the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry.
Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur, popularly known as XLRI Jamshedpur successfully concluded its final placement process for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) - Business Management & Human Resource Management programmes of the 2015-17 batch. In the placement process, 359 students received job offers from 139 companies. Among the participating companies, 42 were first-time recruiters at the XLRI campus.
As per the XLRI Final Placement Report 2017,
There was a 17% increase in the number of new roles offered to students as compared to the previous year.
A total of 121 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) were generated for the outgoing batch. The average salary offered at XLRI was Rs. 19.21 lakh per annum while the median salary was Rs. 19 lakh per annum.
The Marketing students bagged an average package of Rs. 21.8 lakh per annum while the average salary for the Operations domain was Rs. 26.5 lakh per annum.
Also, it is interesting to note that the average rise in the CTC higher than Rs. 25 lakh per annum was about 18% this year
