Master in Occupational Therapy (MOT) is a 2- year post-graduate course in which students learn how to help people with disabilities, recovering from injury, or with ongoing conditions to overcome barriers, teaching alternative techniques to achieve a given task and facilitating skill improvement.
During the course, students will learn about theories related to daily-tasks of people, environmental analysis, knowledge about the development of human capabilities, and the ways in which injury and disrupt them. Master in Occupational Therapy also provides students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real clients.

Candidates wishing to apply for a Master's in Occupational Therapy course need to meet minimum eligibility which is a 10+2 qualification with a minimum aggregate score of 45- 50%, and graduation (Bachelor in Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy), including 6 months of internship.
Admission to the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) is either through entrance exams or on the basis of merit.
Direct Admissions:
The Direct Admission process is followed by various colleges in India for MOT admissions. Through this pathway, candidates are selected on the basis of their marks scored in the Intermediate examination. For this, candidates simply have to apply to the college or university. After the board results are out, the colleges will release their cut-off scores.
If candidates have scored more than or equal to the cut-off scores of the intended college, they will be eligible for enrollment at that institute.
Admissions through Entrance Exam
The second way for Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) is done on the basis of entrance exams. Those candidates who qualify the entrance exam will be eligible for MOT admissions.
The fee structure of the Masters of Occupational Therapy ranges from Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 7,00,000. Pursuing the respective course from a central or state university will cost less than pursuing it from a private university. The fee structure for MOT will vary from institution to institution.
