The Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM) – IIT Kharagpur has concluded the final placement process for the MBA 2017-19 batch. The 2019 MBA graduating batch of VGSOM recorded 100% placements, and students secured jobs in top companies with lucrative salary packages.

The final placement process for the at IIT Kharagpur’s Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) for the graduating batch of 2018 has been successfully concluded. This year, VGSoM recorded 100% placements along with an increase in the salary packages and variety of roles offered to students. A total of 111 students bagged 126 job offers at IIT Kharagpur VGSoM placement 2018. On the other hand, one in every five students of VGSoM received Pre Placement Offers (PPOs).

The average salary offered to the students was Rs. 16.29 lakhs per annum, while the median salary stood at Rs. 14.76 lakh per annum.

This year, over 68 companies took part in the placements. The major recruiters were: -

The major roles offered to students by various organisations/ companies include: -

VGSoM Summer Placements:

The VGSoM summer placements for the batch of 2019 also registered 100% placements. A total of 123 students received 141 offers from 66 companies. The top companies that offered summer placements were: -

• Spencer’s Retail
• Amazon
• Accenture Digital
• Google

Apart from the regular recruiters, the first time recruiters were: -

• Halma Group
• Valmont
• VLCC

The highest international stipend offered to students was Rs. 6,30,000, while the domestic stipend was Rs. 2,96,300. Similarly, the average and median stipend was Rs. 99,500 and Rs. 89,300 respectively.

IIT Kharagpur successfully completed its Placements for the batch of 2017. Some of the big firms participated in the placement process to hire talented students.

Some of the highlights of the placement drive:

• This season’s highest package offered at the institute was Rs. 20 lakh.

• A total of 40 companies participated in the campus placement of VGSoM.

The number of students who registered for placements this season was 82. A total of 100 offers were rolled out by various companies at the institute.
