AKTU Admission 2025 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

AKTU admissions are offered in 10 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The university offers entrance based admission in all courses. JEE Main and CUET UG scores are taken into consideration for admission in BTech and BPharm/BVoc/BHMCT courses. As per AKTU admission process, CUET PG scores are accepted for MBA and MCA admission. For admission in ME and MTech courses, GATE score is considered.

As per AKTU admission criteria, candidates who wish to take admission in courses (other than MTech and PhD) need to register and participate in AKTU counselling known as Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC). During admission, based on candidates academic merit and financial need, various scholarships are offered by AKTU. Candidates who meet the cutoff ranks released during UPTAC counselling for admission and are allotted AKTU need to submit documents and pay fees to secure admission. 
 

AKTU admission is provided in 4 PG courses. MTech Civil Engineering, MTech Electrical Engineering, ME Textile Chemistry, MBA, MCA etc. are some of the specialisations offered at PG level. The university provides admission in ME and MTech courses based on GATE scores whereas CUET PG scores are accepted for AKTU PG admission in MBA and MCA courses.

As per the AKTU application process, candidates interested in admission are required to register for UPTAC counselling. A separate counselling is conducted for each programme. AKTU application fees for UPTAC counselling is Rs 1000. The application fee can only be paid via online mode. Mentioned below is stepwise procedure to fill the application form of the university. 

Step 1: Visit the UPTAC counselling official website - uptac.admissions.nic.in/

Step 2: Select the course you want to apply for and click on the registration link. 

Step 3: Now click on ‘New Candidate Registration' and agree to the instructions. 

Step 4: Next, candidates need to fill in academic and personal details. 

Step 5: The next step is to upload required documents and pay AKTU application fees of Rs 1000. 

Step 6: After paying the application fee, submit the AKTU application form to complete the application process.

The university offers various state level and national scholarships to students. AKTU scholarships are offered to students with exceptional academic performance and to students who belong to reserved sections of the society. In order to apply for AKTU scholarships, students can visit Uttar Pradesh Government scholarship or National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Along with scholarship, the university provides financial assistance in terms of stipend of Rs 18,000 to GATE qualified students enrolled in Master of Technology (MTech) courses.

The university offers admission in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) course based on the entrance exam conducted by the university. Candidates who have qualified UGC NET/CSIR NET/GATE are exempted from appearing for the university entrance exam. As per AKTU admission process, the final selection of candidates is done based on performance in personal interview and entrance exam.
