Overall: Being a married woman my main concern was to pursue education at a university that values and provides distance education. No, doubt BRAOU is one of the best. I had a very smooth experience in completing my course with good grades. The best thing is distance students can visit the nodal centres that are available at different colleges if they want to take a few classes and have an in-classroom experience. Faculty is also amazing, they are in constant contact with students which makes it easy for us to ask our queries and understand the subject well.
Placement: When it comes to placement BRAOU has to improve. The placements are not that great. Though, students get placed on a very low package. Also, not all the students are placed. But one thing I would say is that the placement cell is always helping the students to get skilled and apply for jobs. The highest package offered was around Rs 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: Even though I was a distance education student but I was curious to visit the campus. The campus architecture is good. Even though very few students visit the campus, the university has been maintained with a good library, equipped labs and classes. The staff at the university is also amazing.
Faculty: Experienced faculty is a necessity when it comes to doing distance courses. My university is the same. Online faculty interaction is also very efficient. Punctuality is great. I was totally satisfied. Even though you are learning through distance courses you will have to put your efforts to bridge the gap between classroom programmes and online courses.
Hostel: I don't know much about the hostels as I was not a hosteller. But, students have said that the hostels are good. When I visited the campus I did see the hostel. According to me, it was a good hostel.
Overall: Most of the students like me who are disabled and wish to study, get opportunities from open universities such as BRAOU Hyderabad. I recently graduated from BRAOU with a degree in MA in English. I consider myself fortunate to get a chance to pursue what I wanted at BRAOU. The university no doubt has a class and a long list of courses to cater to the needs of students. As it is an open university, you don't need to visit the campus, However, personal contact programmes or physical classes are held in nearby colleges and institutes to help the students. The faculty members are very generous and helpful. They keep in contact online with the students and keep updating us about the new developments. Internship opportunities are offered and placement drives are held to place skilled students.
Placement: You can not assume great placement opportunities here. However, the university takes full responsibility for getting skilled students placed in decent companies. The highest package offered at BRAOU Hyderabad is Rs 8 LPA. Some of the major recruiters that recruit students from BRAOU are Genpact, Adobe, TCS, Amazon, IBM, etc.
Infrastructure: The university has a well-maintained infrastructure. However, few students visit to attend weekly classes. There are adequate facilities available such as a library, labs, classrooms, water cooler, canteen, etc. Apart from this, there are regional coordination centres (RCCs) all over the state. UG, PG, B.Ed, and women's centres are also available in local colleges and institutions.
Faculty: The faculty of an open university is the most important resource that helps students learn and pass the course with flying colours. The pass percentage lies between 50 to 60%. Most, of the students did not study well. Those who attend the weekly classes and refer to the study material provided by the teachers score good marks. The professors are highly experienced in their fields of study. They also prepare online study materials to help the students.
Hostel: I am not aware of the hostel facilities offered by the university. It is an open university and runs regional study centres in most of the cities. I don’t think it offers hostel facilities. However, the university has a guest house facility available for Rs 200 per head per day. The university has canteen facilities for students and staff.
Overall: My time at BRAOU Hyderabad will always be cherished. It is one of the best institutions in the nation because of the calibre of the curriculum and the excellence of the distinguished faculty members. Students are enrolled and trained at this university to compete with those from other countries. Because of how well-cared for the students are by the professors and other staff members, the university itself is a nice thing.
Placement: There are no campus placement possibilities available at the government-run BRAOU Hyderabad. For students, it would be extremely advantageous if government colleges also offered campus positions.
Infrastructure: The scientific division of the BRAOU Hyderabad building has good facilities. Free WiFi is always available on the university campus. The classrooms are sanitary and immaculate. Really decent connectivity is available on the hostel's Wi-Fi. The hostel has a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food served at the mess is fairly well-rounded. The hostel has clean water available.
Faculty: All professors and instructors have advanced degrees in their fields of study and are highly educated. They have a great deal of knowledge. To ensure that the candidates receive a high-quality education, they employ effective teaching methods. They instruct us in both theory and practice. The course's content is applicable to training for the workplace. Exams for the entire semester can be a little difficult.
Overall: The lovely campus setting and culture of BRAOU Hyderabad are some of my favourite features. One of the top private universities, BRAOU Hyderabad provides students with everything they may possibly need. The amenities that appealed to me the most were the free nighttime bus service between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., the digital library with access to many well-known scientific and research journals, research-related books, textbooks and reference books, and of course the wifi. In addition to the library, BRAOU Hyderabad boasts first-rate sporting amenities.
Infrastructure: The BRAOU Hyderabad campus is constantly alive with youth and vitality. The lush campus has a number of sports facilities in addition to well-appointed lecture halls, labs, an auditorium, a library, a reading room, and Wi-Fi connectivity in public areas. Everyone can afford the excellent, healthy food that is served in large quantities at the canteen. The campus of the university is gorgeous and immaculately maintained.
Faculty: The teaching faculty of BRAOU Hyderabad is made up of excellent instructors with extensive training and solid credentials. Students can thoroughly understand the subject thanks to the faculty members' utilisation of cutting-edge teaching resources. In addition to the university curriculum, teachers urge their students to take part in a variety of group projects and technical training programmes.
Overall: I completed my masters in economics from this university, and I must say that I am quite satisfied. I completed my education while working professionally. This open university is one of the best in our country that provides a variety of courses to the students. The practical exams are also conducted thoroughly so that students can get their degrees within the stipulated time period. I am so glad I pursued my degree from this university.
Placement: There is no placement cell at the university and the students get no opportunity for on-campus placements. But the students can get placed through the off-campus placement drive.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is quite attractive for the students. All the amenities at the university are updated regularly for the benefit of the students. These is WiFi facility, a bustling canteen, sports complex and more for the benefit of the students. The environment of the college helps the students to concentrate better on their studies.
Faculty: The faculty members of the university are alumni from some of the prestigious universities in the country. Some of the teachers are also pass-outs from international universities. They always help the students with whatever issues they come to. Despite being an open university, the teachers at BRAOU Hyderabad help the students with anything and everything.
Overall: The high calibre education offered by BRAOU Hyderabad is one of its outstanding features. Starting just in the first year, students are enrolled in both theoretical and practical education. Students are given practical knowledge through a variety of technical and nontechnical laboratories. In order to prepare the students for impending placements, soft skills and placement preparation classes are also offered to them.
Placement: The placement data for this year at the BRAOU Hyderabad has not been released yet. For students, there aren't many opportunities available. This training outside of the college can only help students who have strong library science expertise land government positions. No placements are available through this university.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at the university is good. However, there aren't many centres spread out over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh because of the remote learning programmes that colleges offer. Only a small number of these universities have excellent labs and academic practical classes.
Faculty: Despite offering remote education to interested candidates, this course at BRAOU Hyderabad has great faculty members. The students are brought up to par with other students through their curriculum. having a course with two semesters in a year. However, because of inconsistencies in how this university administers exams, it takes an additional 1.5 years.
Overall: I made the best decision of my life by selecting BRAOU Hyderabad. It is one of the greatest universities in the country because of the uniqueness of the curriculum and the expertise of the professors. It enrols students and prepares them for the world once they graduate from college. The university promotes students from many origins and cultures in every way, whether it be during the hiring process, in-class lectures, extracurricular activities, etc.
Placement: There were many students in my B.Sc class and those of my colleagues who were interested in the IT industry have been hired by reputable companies with competitive salaries. Some of my friends are preparing for government job positions after completion of their graduation. I too participated in the BRAOU Hyderabad placement drive and also got a job opportunity, but didn’t pursue it further.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities at the BRAOU Hyderabad are great, however, I simply travelled from my house to the college. The classrooms are spotless, clean and updated with all the facilities. For physical fitness and energy, the institution offers sports and games. We find the library to be very beneficial because we may read there anytime we have free time.
Faculty: The faculty at the university is highly supportive and helps us to study. They are knowledgeable, experienced and highly qualified. They help all the students from all the departments of the university in developing a thorough understanding of the subject. During the semester exams, we had some difficulties, but we overcame them with the aid of our professors.
