About IVRI Bareilly

During the academic year 2024–2024, admission to the B.V.Sc. and AH Degree Programs at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) is now available. The application deadline is December 24. Those interested in applying may do so on the official website of IVRI. NEET is accepted by IVRI for admission.

The Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), which was founded in 1889, is one of the top research centres in the area devoted to studying and developing livestock. With about 275 faculty members, the institute's primary missions include research, teaching, consulting, and technology transfer. With its extensive scientific history, the institute has always enjoyed a particular distinction and unique tradition.

The Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) is renowned for its post-graduate programmes and cutting-edge research. Beginning with the academic year 2015–16, there were 20 seats available for undergraduate programmes; this number has since expanded to 24. The Veterinary Council of India fills the remaining 3 of the 24 seats, leaving IVRI to fill 21 of them (VCI). The programme is available to all interested parties. A printed electronic receipt for Rs. 1200 (Rs. 1000 for SC/ST/PH (SC,ST) category candidates) that was received from the State Bank Portal must be included with the completed application for  Indian Veterinary Research Institute admission.

Indian Veterinary Research Institute offers top-notch post-graduate education to students from abroad as well as from different regions of the nation. The institute today makes a significant contribution to the development of human resources in the field of veterinary sciences by equipping students with the abilities and knowledge required to meet the challenges of the new millennium. More than 20 fields of veterinary and animal sciences, livestock products technology, fundamental sciences, and extension education are covered through its master's and doctorate degree programmes. A variety of subjects are covered by the Indian Veterinary Research Institute courses : 24 Master's and 19 Doctoral programmes offered by IVRI. There are five more campuses for it, located in Mukteshwar, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, and Palampur. Only Izatnagar, in Bareilly, offers UG courses. For MVSc/PhD admissions through entrance examinations, the institute also provides grants to applicants.

For all of the programmes, there is a very fair Indian Veterinary Research Institute fee charged. The professional course lasts 5.5 years, but the master's degree is just 2 years long. ICAR researchers make up the faculty. Being a renowned institution in the field of veterinary sciences, IVRI maintains a placement department where it helps students find suitable employment opportunities. The institution has a strong working relationship with industry and continues to play a crucial role in the quality assurance and immunobiological drug potency testing for diverse stakeholders. My opinion is that this illustrates the intrinsic and core strength of IVRI in the liberalised context. A crucial part of the institute's objective to transmit technology is played by the Kisan Mela, Pashu Vigyan Pradarshini, and other extension initiatives like KVK, ATIC, Helpline, etc.

At present, 89 research and 28 service projects are being undertaken by the institution, with defined benchmarking of outcomes. Via 98 projects with outside funding, the institution conducts fundamental, advanced, and applied research. The institution is involved in a variety of domestic and foreign research projects on animal health and production methods. There are now 39 DBT-supported projects, 19 other financed projects, 3 outreach programmes, 6 NASF projects, 6 All India Network projects, 5 National Agricultural Innovation Programs, 6 NASF projects, 6 All India Network projects, and 19 consortium projects all in operation. The institution also has five international joint projects with the US, UK, IAEA, and other funding sources in addition to these extramural financed programmes.
