NTA announces the National Eligibility Entrance Test, UG exam date 2024. As per the official confirmation, NEET UG 2023 exam date is May 7, 2023. The authority will soon release the NEET 2023 registration dates.

RUHS admissions are based on various entrance exams like NEET UG, NEET PG, RUHS and entrance exams. Candidates seeking admission to RUHS must take the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam, which is administered by the NTA for MBBS, BDS, and pharmacy programmes.

RUHS conducts its own admission test as the final test. The student has to give a computer-based admission test that will be conducted online (at the examination centre) in Jaipur only. The details of the admission test will be available on the RUHS website.

RUHS Application process

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences applications process usually starts after the NEET result has been out, and then the authorities of RUHS Jaipur release the programme's application form. The selection criteria for different courses are different in the university. The application process for RUHS is online. One has to keep checking the websites for updates.

The application process for Medical and Allied sciences courses at Rajasthan University of Health Sciences partly depends on the process of NEET, the university also has some procedures of its own, and they are as follows:

  • After the attempt of the NEET exam, the results are out a month or so later, and the cut-off is released based on the highest percentile and many other factors. All other state universities, including the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, release the application form as the state-wise NEET merit list is released.
  • The candidate is requested to visit the official admission portal of the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences regularly.
  • For the RUHS admission of B.Sc, one has to directly fill out the RUHS application form, perform well at the exam, and mandatorily qualify as this has no relation to the NEET exam conducted by NTA.  
  • Then they can select the programme and fill the registration form with the required information, such as educational details, personal details, and contact addresses.
  • Some documents like the scanned signatures, one identity proof card like the PAN card, the adhaar or passport and colour photographs of the candidate must be uploaded along with the RUHS application form. To avoid any hitch in the admission process, the candidates are informed to keep all the required documents, such as birth certificate, category certificate, income certificate, last qualifying degree certificate, etc., and in the case of admission to MBBS and BDS courses, NEET application form, result card and admit card is a must.  
  • Finally, they can submit the application form. And pay the RUHS application fee via any online payment method such as net banking, credit and debit cards, BHIM UPI, Paytm, etc. Candidates are advised to keep the receipt of the fee paid as proof for further reference.
  • If the confirmation page is not generated after completing the fee payment, the transaction is cancelled, and the deducted amount is refunded to the candidate’s respective bank account. The candidate has to make transactions again. 
  • Then at the time of seat allotment through the first and second rounds, the eligible candidates are suggested online to opt for the college of their choice for MBBS, BDS, or Pharmacy and wait for the result. Once the allotment result is out, the candidate must physically go to the college and do the necessary admission procedures. 
  • For the direct admissions for B. Sc Nursing, the candidate, after qualifying for the exam can either opt to go and do the necessary RUHS admission procedures directly or wait for the usual computer-based college selection and admission. During admission, the candidate has to carry the required documents and photographs mandatorily.  
  • NEET is a computer-based test, which is mandatory to qualify to be eligible for admission.
  • At RUHS University, different procedures are to be followed for different courses as the admission committee is different for different courses. The dates also vary.
  •  The selection of candidates for RUHS admission is made solely based on their overall performance in the last qualifying examination (NEET) or (Rajasthan State Common Entrance Test conducted by RUHS)
  •  PhD aspirants can opt out of giving the RUHS examination only if they have qualified for national-level entrance examinations such as UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, etc.

The university has not revealed any dates regarding the release of first-year MBBS (new scheme) revaluation exams 2023. However, it released results for the first-year MBBS (new scheme) main exam 2023 on December 18, 2023. So, you can expect the results for the revaluation exam by the last week of January 2024.
