In the academic year 2001–2002, Dhanlakshmi College of Engineering, Chennai, was established under the supervision of Dhanlakshmi Education Trust. The college has developed into a renowned hub for technology and engineering education. The institute aims to give students a high-quality technical education that will help them become competent professional engineers. The AICTE has approved DCE Chennai, which is connected to Chennai's Anna University. Four programmes have ISO 9001:2008 certification and NBA accreditation. The College placed seventh in the university test and eighth in Tamil Nadu for infrastructure and facilities.
