On September 13, 2023, BML Munjal University (BMU), a Hero Group venture, announced the appointment of Prof. Shyam Menon as Vice Chancellor. Prof. Menon is a well-known practitioner of higher education institutional growth and renewal. He is a well-known educator with over 40 years of experience as a teacher educator, educational administrator, and university administrator. Prior to joining BMU, he spent over three decades as a Professor at the University of Delhi, where he was also Dean of the Faculty of Education. 

Prof. Menon has served on the editorial boards of numerous prestigious international journals, including the Comparative Education Journal and the Asia Pacific Journal of Education. He formerly served as the Chairman of the Commission for Reforms in Higher Education established by the Government of Kerala. 

The President of BML Munjal University, Swati Munjal, welcomed him with an eloquent warm welcome speech and wished him success for his new journey with BML Munjal University.

Top colleges accepting AIMA UGAT 2024 scores for BBA, IMBA, BCA, BHMCT, and BCom admissions include GITAM Institute of Management, ITM University, Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences, and Ahmedabad University. AIMA (All India Management Association) conducts the UGAT (Under Graduate Aptitude Test) for these programs. AIMA UGAT is usually administered offline, however, in 2024, it was conducted in the Internet-Based Test (IBT) mode. Former Vice-Chancellor of Ambedkar University Delhi Prof. Shyam Menon Becomes the Executive Vice President at BML Munjal University

BML Munjal University (BMU) has announced that Prof. Shyam Menon will be the new executive president of the University. Prof. Shyam Menon was also the former vice-chancellor of Ambedkar University. In his new role, Prof. Menon will be responsible for working closely with the faculty and developing & implementing the overall strategy required for the University. Prof. Menon is a well-known educationist who has over 40 years of experience in Teaching, Educational Administration, and University Leadership. He served as a Vice-Chancellor at Ambedkar University for over 3 decades where he was also serving as Dean for Faculty of Education. Currently, Prof. Menon is the Chairman of the Commission for Reforms in Higher Education constituted by the Government of Kerala.

Two-Day BML Munjal Leadership Summit 2023 to Take Place From 17 February

BML Munjal University Have announced that a 2-Day Virtual Leadership Summit would be conducted from 17th to 18th February. The Leadership Summit, which will turn 2 this year, will bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders and policymakers to discuss the issue of "Global Sustainability and the Corporation" and how organizations may move toward more sustainability in general. The current perilous hs compelled the sector to mix economic growth with attempts to accomplish the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) by the year 2030. The BMU Leadership Summit 2.0 will also address the role of Government policies in encouraging investors to participate in socially responsible firms. 

The keynote speaker for 17th February will be Ms Shobana Kamineni, Executive Vice-Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited and on 18th February, it will be Mr Sunil Kant Munjal, Chancellor, BMU & Chairman, Hero Enterprise. A group of distinguished executives from India's leading businesses, sustainability specialists and Indian & Overseas educators will attend the summit.

UG Admissions Begin at BML Munjal University for the Academic Year 2023-24

BML Munjal University Gurgaon has initiated its undergraduate admission procedure for the academic year 2023-24. Form the current academic year, the university will not carry out a "Cutoff-Based" admission process. From now on, the university's admission requirements will not assess a student's ability just on their school exam scores, but also take into account standardised test scores, interviews, and other aspects depending on the programme chosen to examine the application. This new UG admission initiative will give much-needed help to students who faced cut-offs of up to 100% last year. 

Interested B.Tech and Law candidates can now apply for admission based on their JEE Main and CLAT scores respectively. Students with valid BMU SAT scores will also be eligible for admission into their desired programmes. Admission to the undergraduate programmes of BML Munjal University will need the successful completion of 10+2 or the equivalent, as well as satisfying university admissions standards mentioned on the official website.

BML Munjal University IIC Chosen as Mentor as Part of the MIC/AICTE Initiative

The BML Munjal University's Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) has been selected as a mentor to the other IICs as a part of the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell initiative through which knowledge exchange resource mobilization among IIC institutions are done. Out of more than 2500 IICs in India, the IIC of BML Munjal University has been chosen for the Mentor-Mentee programme 2021-22 along with 49 other institutions IICs. The Institution's Innovation Council of BML Munjal University will mentor 5 institutions under this programme between October 2022 and March 2023. The MIC/AICTE will provide financial assistance to the BML Munjal University IIC to organize a certain set of activities for the mentee institutions which will help them run efficiently their own campus Innovation & Entrepreneurship ecosystems.

Prof. Davinder Singh, CEO, ACIC-BMU Foundation sounded pretty excited about this development. He believes that both BMU and the mentee IICs will come out on the other side of this programme with lots of learning. The BML Munjal University IIC is a Hero Group initiative. The IIC conducts various activities among the institute faculty and students to drive the entrepreneurship agenda at the university. 

Narayana Murthy Addresses 6th Convocation of BML Munjal University

Mr. N.R. Narayana Murthy, Founder, Infosys Limited graced the virtual convocation as the Chief Guest. The virtual convocation for BML Munjal University took place on 11th September 2021.397 students were conferred their  degrees on successful completion of B.Tech, B.Com (Hons.), BBA & MBA and Ph.D programmes.

Mr. N R Narayana Murthy, Founder, Infosys Limited, was the honourable Chief Guest for the convocation ceremony that was presided over by Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, the Honourable Chancellor, BMU. 

Dr Anirban Chakraborti Named the New Dean of School of Engineering & Technology and Dean Research

BML Munjal University Gurgaon has Dr Anirban Chakraborti as its new Dean of the School of Engineering & Technology and Dean Research. Dr Chakraborti earlier rendered his service as a professor and Dean of the School of Computational and Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi and the Associate Professor at the Chair of Quantitative Finance, Ecole Centrale Paris, France, and a Lecturer in Theoretical Physics at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. The Vice-Chancellor of BML Munjal University Professor (Dr) Manoj Arora is sounded thrilled to have Dr Chakraborti on board as he is expected to boost the university's philosophy to build relationships between the techno-scientific education & practice and liberal arts. Dr Chakraborti too sounded pretty excited about his new role at the BML Munjal University Gurgaon.
