 Bhiwandi Nizampur Nagarpalika College is situated on the slope of the green hillock, on the South East of Bhiwandi city. It is close to Varhala Lake, which is the largest lake in Thane district. The college is placed in the plot of almost 23 acres. It is 19 kilometers from Thane city and 11 kilometers from Kalyan city. Thus, Bhiwandi is situated in the centre of these two major cities. Also, Bhiwandi is connected with the Panvel—Vasai Railroad at Bhiwandi Road Station. Students from all the rural areas in and around Bhiwandi come here for higher education. The college, therefore, caters educational facilities to students from all these areas. The spatial speciality gives a secluded geographical setup which facilitates the teaching-learning process.

 With the donations from the citizens of Bhiwandi and Nizampur cities and the villages from the vicinity the college building was built. The college has an “h” shaped main building with three storeys. The college has a separate Administrative Building newly constructed with a view to make teaching-learning process undisturbed. The college is known for its huge playground. Similarly, it has a special library building, “Nirlon Library” named after its donor, Nirlon Company. 

Girls Hostel Facility:

• For outside girl students hostel facility is available.

• Admissions are open only for BNN College students from the academic year 2015-2016.Accommodation is available for 60 students.

What is NCC

The National Cadet Corps(Hindi: ?????????????? ??? ): is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis.

National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades.

The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.

About NCC Army

• This unit is under Mumbai A group’s 6 MAH/BN NCC.

• Total Strength of cadets – 60

• From the current year duration of NCC is of 3 years.

• Second year cadet have to complete at least one camp to eligible for ‘B’ cert exam.

• Third year cadet have to pass ‘B’ exam and complete 2 camps in two years separately.

• Attendance should be 70% to prepare an exam.

• There are 40 parades in a year.

• There are regular parades on every Wednesday.

• Complete duration in academic year is June to 26th Jan.

• 11th standard to First year students of any faculty can take admission.

• The result of ‘B’ cert and ‘C’ cert exam in last year(2012-13) is 90%.
