Technical library

Each of our department has its own internal  departmental technical library of more than 10,000 books and periodicals. It would cater the need of the students and faculty  of each department.

In addition to it we have the College  Technical Library. With a large collection of books, periodicals and reports, the library serves the needs of the staff and students of this College as a whole. The library is kept open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all working days.

CET Thiruvananthapuram Hostel & Fees Structure

The college has both men’s hostel and Women’s hostels. Men’s hostel is situated behind the college within the campus amidst a glistening panoramic view. The Women’s hostel is located on the front side of the college at a beautiful location amidst greenish scenery. Both hostels provide comfortable and conducive atmosphere to develop the innate abilities of inmates. Indoor and outdoor facilities for sports and cultural activities (Reading rooms, Fitness centers with modern scientific equipments) are available in both hostels.

The men’s hostel has 250 rooms and can accommodate 500 students. The ladies hostel has 140 rooms which can accommodate 400 students. Both hostels are under the control of the Warden, assisted by two assistant wardens and Resident Tutors(RTs).

The mess is run by the mess committee elected from among the students under the directions of the General Secretary, Mess Director and other members of the committee. A hygienic atmosphere is available in the hostels. The Resident tutors (RTs) look after the hostels and maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the hostels. Hostel day (MH day and LH day) festivities are conducted in both hostels with the active participation of inmates and faculty of the college.

Students Activities & Clubs

Entrepreneurship Club -

An Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC – CET) is functioning in the college with the intention of nurturing entrepreneurship skills of the students. The cell provides a platform for the students to pursue entrepreneurial activities and also provide assistance to potential entrepreneurs. With the prime goal of developing responsible innovators out of engineers, the EDC strives to assist every aspiring entrepreneur on every single step. With active involvement of students the cell promotes and revitalizes the entrepreneurial culture in the college.

CET has joined the Startup Bootcamp Scheme of the Government of Kerala, implemented through Kerala Startup Mission, which is envisaged to create a startup ecosystem in the college campus through active involvement of students.


Nature Club -

 The Environmental Club has done excellent work in nature conservation activities at College of Engineering, Trivandrum. The club is co-ordinated by Prof. D. Thankamoney of Civil Engineering Department. The club mainly concentrates on enhancing the Greenery and conserving and documenting the bio-diversity of the campus. The diversity of plants and the bush greenery make of a haven for many species of birds and butterflies. The members of the club has surveyed the birds and butterflies of the campus and published the books-”Feathered friends of our campus” in 2006 and “Flying Jewels of our Campus” in 2007. The members are actively involved in enriching its Arboretum. The Eco-corner adjacent to the Civil Department also functions as a plant nursery.


NSS Club -

NSS cell unit no. 147 of this College originally under University of Kerala, is at present functioning under the Directorate of Technical Education. Every year the NSS unit celebrates various important days with all its gaiety and formalities. The various activities of this unit include blood donations, planting of trees, conducting legal awareness classes, personality development programmes, health survey for local Panchayaths, survey for Higher Education Council, Adopting villages near the College, cleaning and other constructive activities which aim at national integration and uplift of the poor and downtrodden. Artificial recharge pits and other rain harvesting techniques have also been developed by the NSS volunteers. It is worth mentioning that this unit has bagged the blood donation award sponsored by the Red Cross Society of India. Our volunteer activists participated in the seminar conference and youth celebration conducted at the various centres in Kerala. “Not me But you” is the motto adopted by this unit. Mr.K.S. Sajikumar of Mechanical Engineering Dept. is the programme officer of the NSS unit.

Yes, after the KEAM second allotment, you can rearrange ore delete options before the third allotment. The procedure is usually allowed during the option confirmation period for each phase of KEAM seat allotment. here are few options that you can follow - 

Rearrange Options - You can reorder the existing options in the prefermce list to better align with your desired colleges or courses. 

Delete Options- You can delete unwanted options from your list you no longer wish to be considered for certain colleges or courses.

However, it is to be noted that you cannot add new options that were not selected during the initial option registration.
