NIT Calicut B.Tech admissions 2024 are expected to begin on June 10, 2024, with the commencement of JoSAA counselling registrations. GATE COAP 2024 second round seat allotment has been released for MTech admissions. The last date to accept & freeze, retain & wait or reject & wait was May 22, 2024.

NIRF Ranking 2023: Ministry of Education, Government of India has released the NIRF Ranking 2023. The ranking This year the ranking was released by Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh (The Minister of State for Education and External Affairs). Various aspects are considered for these rankings such as teaching and learning resources, graduation outcome, perception, research and professional practices and outreach & inclusivity. NIRF Ranking is released under different categories such as Overall, Universities, Colleges, Dental, Medical many more. In 2023, two new categories for ranking - Innovation and Agriculture and Allied Sectors have been introduced. As per the NIT Calicut NIRF Ranking 2023, the institute has secured 2nd rank in the Architecture and Planning category. Last year in 2022 it had secured the same rank therefore there is no change in the NIT Calicut NIRF Ranking 2023 for the Architecture and Planning category.

NIT Calicut was established in 2007 under the National Institute of Technology Act. The vision of NIT Calicut is to impart high-quality technical education and to provide its students with innovative research capabilities, basic engineering principles and managerial skills. The aim of National Institute of Technology Calicut is to impart education at par with global standards. NIT Calicut courses offers UG, PG, and Research levels for its 13 departments. NIT Calicut courses provides four-year BTech and BArch programmes at the undergraduate level. According to NIRF 2021, NIT Calicut's BTech and BArch programmes are ranked 25th and 2nd in engineering and architecture, respectively. • NITC is a completely residential college with 13 dormitories for student housing. Approximately 4500 students reside at NITC hostels. Thirteen men's hostels are designated by the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, PG I, PG II, IH, Mega Hostel, and MBA Hostel. Triple rooms are available in the four ladies' hostels (LH): A, B, C, and Mega Ladies Hostels.
