Language Laboratory

Effective Communication is significant for managers in the organizations so as to perform the basic functions of management, i.e., Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling.Communication helps managers to perform their jobs and responsibilities. Communication serves as a foundation for planning. All the essential information must be communicated to the managers who in-turn must communicate the plans so as to implement them. Organizing also requires effective communication with others about their job task. Similarly, leaders as managers must communicate effectively with their subordinates so as to achieve the team goals. Controlling is not possible without written and oral communication.

The Lab has 66 Pentium-IV work stations plus one server for the teacher. There are two softwares namely English Mastery and Globarena to make the students familiar with the basic language skills. The Lab offers an opportunity to learn English and to enable the student to get placed in reputed national and global companies. This Lab. is very much helpful in language teaching as well as developing interactive and group communication skills in an effective manner.

Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. Tidy rooms and hygienic facilities make for an ideal stay away from home ambience. The hostels also have a recreation hall, multi-gym facility and provision for a variety of indoor games for the students.Students in the hostels have access to everyday conveniences including telephones and enjoy the luxury of watching a film every weekend.

The mess facilities in the hostels are designed to meet international hygiene standards. Steam cookers and sterilized equipment are used to prepare wholesome, healthy food.

A mineral water plant is operated within the campus and has a well-maintained RO facility. This water is used for cooking, drinking and is available throughout the campus.

The Women Empowerment Cell in our college is established to empower girl students and staffs and to enhance their understanding of issues related to women in the society and to face the challenges with great courage. The goal of the cell is to bring about the advancement, development and empowerment of women. This cell creates a feel in them that our college campus is a haven and second home to them. The cell functions arduously to enhance their status and thereby empower them through Guest Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, various awareness programmes and other welfare activities.

To conduct guest lectures, seminars and workshops to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available and train the women.

To create a conducive counseling environment for female gender to share their problems.

To sensitize the college community on the need for empowerment of women.

To educate girl students on women specific health issues and measures to be taken.

The Communication Skill Development Cell in VSBCETC enhances the student’s Communication skills and overall personality development to meet the corporate needs. For this purpose the Cell trains students in Communication Skills, Presentation Skills, Business Writing and Conversations, Conflict Management, Negotiation Skills, Business Etiquettes, HR Interviews, Group Discussions, Telephone and Email Etiquettes, etc.

The cell has qualified faculty members to train students on personality development and soft skills. These training sessions emphasize a personalized approach where every student is counseled and groomed individually. Work ethic, attitude, communication skills, emotional intelligence and a whole host of other personal attributes are crucial for successful career and life. These are what our learning and development cell seeks to foster in our students.

The Communication Skill Development Cell works in strong coherence with Placement & Training Cell to identify the latest training and development needs of the students to make them skilled before ‘IN & OFF’ Campus Placements Drives.

The Youth Red Cross is the most important constituent of its mother organization, Indian Red Cross. It is a group movement organized at the initial stages for students between 18 and 25 years of age within the colleges. (YRC) helps the students to inculcate discipline in them and to understand their responsibilities towards their countrymen, especially the poor and downtrodden. The students of VSBCETC have tasted the fruits of serving the society through various blood donation camps.

Main Objectives of Youth Red Cross:

The main purpose of organizing the Youth Red Cross is

to inculcate in the Youth of our country

an awareness on the care of their own health and that of others

the understanding and acceptance of civic responsibilities and acting accordingly with humanitarian concern, to fulfill the same

to enable the growth and development of a spirit of service and sense of duty with dedication and devotion in the minds of youth

to foster better friendly relationship with all without any discrimination
