Loyola Institute of Technology is a Christian minority institute. It was established in 2003 and the institute is taken care of by the sisters and society of DMI. It is located in Palanchur, Mevalurkuppam, Kanchipuram District, Chennai. It is a self-financing institution affiliated to Anna University. It is recognised by sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act 1956. In the NIRF Ranking 2023, the institute was placed in the rank band of 151-300 in the  ‘Innovation’ category. 

Loyola Institute of Technology courses are approved by AICTE. It comprises eight courses out of which seven are undergraduate courses. In 2023, a new Loyola Institute of Technology course is introduced. The BE Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) course was introduced with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. Loyola Institute of Technology admission is currently ongoing. Candidates can either apply through the management quota or the government quota. Candidates who wish to take admission at Loyola Institute of Technology must apply online and send an email regarding the same to The Secretary, Engineering Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 25. Next, a merit list will be prepared by Anna University and student will then be called for TNEA counselling for BE/B.Tech admission and TANCET MBA for MBA admission. Allotment of candidates to Loyola Institute of Technology will be done at the counselling session itself.
