IIT Madras Courses and Fees 2024

IIT Madras fees fall in the range of Rs 6,000 - Rs 2,00,000 per year. In the case of undergraduate programmes, IIT Madras fee structure is in the range of Rs 10,000 - Rs 2,00,000. IIT Madras courses comprise seven courses. There are a total of 92 specialisations. IIT Madras courses admission is based on entrance exams like JEE Advanced, GATE, IIT JAM, etc, depending on the courses opted by the candidates. Admission in dual degree programmes like B.Tech+M.Tech and BS+MS are based on JEE Advanced. IIT Madras courses and fees details are mentioned below:

M.Tech	Rs 10,000	IIT Graduates with B.Tech. degree and CGPA of 8.0 (on a scale of 10) and above can apply without GATE Score/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture from Educational Institutions approved by AICTE/ Government + GATE
MSc	Rs 6,000	Chemistry: Bachelor's degree with Chemistry as a subject for three years/ six semesters Mathematics as a subject at (10+2) level. Mathematics: Bachelor's degree with Mathematics as a subject for at least two years/four semesters Physics: No restrictions for engineering degrees. For B.Sc./B.S. degree, Physics for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters.
MA	Rs 6,000	Pass 10 + 2 with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate

IIT Madras Hostel Fee Structure

IIT Madras hostel fees is Rs 37,200 per semester. The hostels are separate for first-year students as well as for boys and girls. IIT Madras hostel comprises 20 hostels, out of which four are girls hostel. IIT Madras hostel facilities comprise LAN in every room, a computer room /activity room, a hostel library, a garden, sports facilities, a music room, a tech room, washing machines etc. Hostellers at IIT Madras need to pay a one-time refundable fee of Rs 3,000. IIT Madras hostel fee can be paid online at ccw.iitm.ac.in.

Being a management student of this university, I would say a big NO if you really wanted to do MBA than just go for LPU it is best university for management and yes for other subjects also. Industrial exposure, Internships are there and moreover best placements opportunities for management students are there in the university. According to LPU officials they usually say that they provide 100% placements to all the eligible and placement aspiring candidates. 500+ companies visit to the campus and university provide them the best of the candidates who are already industry ready. People who think that they can study from where ever and it will be best for them, then I am sorry to say this, that if u what to study for just a piece of a paper then please go ahead these universities/collages are no harm.
