CEC Hostel & Fees Structure

Separate hostels are provided for boys and girls. Boys Hostel has 36 rooms and can accommodate about 300 students.The hostel rooms are spacious, adequately ventilated, well maintained and furnished with necessary accessories. The hostel, in addition, has a general store for provisions required by the students. The hostel runs a mess. A separate TV room and reading room are provided in the Boys' Hostel.

Girls hostel has 16 rooms, which can accommodate about 90 students.The hostel rooms are spacious, adequately ventilated, well maintained and furnished with necessary accessories. The hostel, in addition, has a general store for provisions required by the students. The hostel runs a mess. A separate TV room and reading room are provided in the Girls’ and Boys' Hostel.

Students Activities & Clubs

Social Club -

Student clubs and organizations represent the most visible and accessible avenue to student involvement. At CEC there are many clubs and organizations to suit a variety of interests and needs. You will find social, cultural, political, religious and community service organizations to name a few. To get the most from your college experience it’s important that you take some time to create a plan that integrates your academic pursuits and career interests, which will determine the choices you make about the time you spend outside of class. Active involvement both in and out of class contributes to your learning experience. Additionally, involvement in out of class experiences can help you develop valuable leadership and organizational skills and contribute to your marketability. Student Organizations are an integral part of the student life on our campus as well as the reflection of the diverse interests and activities of our student community.


NCC Club -

Chirala Engineering College is committed towards social and national responsibilities; bearing this in mind we have raised the NCC wing. We believe that an individual will possess an adoring personality only by integrating him/her in activities like NCC.

 Chirala Engineering College is equipped with several infrastructural facilities  for NCC training programme and provides ample opportunities to the cadets by way of conducting firing camps, drill practices, personality development and voluntary service programmes.

The objective and vision of our NCC wing is to create awareness among the student community regarding its importance towards nation building. Besides an NCC cadet is presented with a plethora of job opportunities in reputed government and public sector concerns. We have in mind to train students towards participating in republic day parade and peoples exchange programme. CEC NCC wing fine tunes the personality of a person in total and equips him mentally to face various challenges that he may encounter in his life.

National Cadet Corps in Our College was started in 2008. The NCC of this Institution has a strong alumni base, most of them occupying coveted positions in many public services,educational, industrial, defence and research organizations all over the world. The NCC of our college has long record of meritorious contribution; the Tamilnadu contigent has won Republic Day and Independence Day awards due to the contribution by our Cadets.NCC activities in our college have evoked much enthusiasm among the students.At present , there are Five Wings in our college comprising of about 278 cadets who are actively indulging in all NCC activities to make our college and our Nation proud.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement. It has enormous potential for nation building. The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and useful citizens. The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities., with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training. The NCC is open to all regular students of schools and colleges on a voluntary basis. The students have no liability for active military service.

Cadets will be selected in NCC based upon their Physical fitness, Knowledge, Ability and their determination. Selected cadets will undergo 2 years training and they will be taught on various related in infantry subjects, which includes, 

  • .Introduction to map and conventional signs 
  • Scales 
  • The grid system 
  • Relief contours and gradients 
  • Cardinal points and finding north 
  • Type of bearings and use of service protractor 
  • Prismatic compass, its use and introduction to gps 
  • Setting a map, finding own position and north 
  • Map to ground 
  • Ground to map 
  • Point to point march

Eligibilities for Certificate Examination:

For "A" Certificate Examination(Junior Division)

  • Must be in Second year of NCC
  • Must have attended an Annual Training Camp
  • The candidate must have attended a minimum of 75% of total Training periods laid down in the syllabus for the first and second years of Junior Division/Wing NCC(All wings)
  • Break in the NCC Service of the cadet prior to his appearing. In the examination 'should not exceed more than 12 month at one time, to count his previous service. In case the break exceeds 12 months, the following procedure will be adopted ."If he has been on the unit rolls for a minimum of two years before his discharge and had attended 75% of the total period during his NCC Service he will need another 45 periods of training to become eligible for certificate 'A' examination. In all other cases where above conditions are not fulfilled, the cadet must attend a minimum of 75% periods of the first and second year of training".

 For "B" Certificate Examination(Senior Division)

  • he Cadet must be in second year of SD/SW NCC Training
  • Must have attended one Annual Training Camp/NIC/Attachment training with regular Army, Navy, Air Force Units.
  • Cadets possessing 'A' Certificate will be awarded 10 bonus marks.
  • The cadet must have attended a minimum of 75% of total training period laid down in the syllabus for the first and second years for Senior Division Wing NCC (All Wings). Break in the NCC service of the cadet SD/SE prior to appearing in the exam should not exceed more than 18 months at one time, after his discharge to count his service for Certificate 'B' Examination. In case the break exceed 18 months the following procedure will be adopted.

    "If he had been on the unit rolls for a minimum of two years before his discharge and had attended 75% of the total periods during his NCC service he will need another 45 periods of training to become eligible for certificate 'B' Examination. In all other cases where above conditions are not fulfilled, the cadet must attend a minimum 75% periods of the first and second years of training."
  • An Air Wing Cadet must do a minimum of 10 Glide launches.

For "C" Certificate Examination(Senior Division)

  • Cadet must have passsed 'B' certificate.
  • The Cadet must be in second/third year of SD/SW NCC Training
  • The Cadet must have attended a minimum of 75% of the periods of 3rd year syllabus during the academic session.
  • Break in the NCC Service of the SD/SW Cadet prior to appearing in the exam should not exceed more than 18 months at one time, after his discharge to count his previous service for Certificate 'C' examination. In case the break exceeds 18 months, the following procedure will be adopted

    "If he had been on the Unit rolls for a minimum of two years before his discharge and had attended 75% of the total period during his NCC service, he will need another 45 periods of training to become eligible for Certificate 'C' examination. In all other cases where above conditions are not fulfilled, the Cadet must attend a minimum of 75% periods of the first and second year of training."
  • Must have attended two Camp.

NSS Club -

The Chirala Engineering College, National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit No. AP 10-048 enroll  100 NSS volunteers every year. The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an indian Govt.sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Govt.of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage. The cardinal principle of the NSS programme is that it is organised by the students themselves, and both students and teachers through their combined participation in community service, get a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building.

Motto:   "NOT ME, NOT YOU, BUT WE"

Aim: 

The programme aims to inculcate social welfare  in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard living and lead a life of dignity. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources. it also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing food,clothing and first aid to the disaster victims.

Objectives: 

The broad objectives of NSS are to:

  • understand the community in which they work;
  • understand themselves in relation to their community;
  • identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process;
  • develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility;
  • utilize their knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problems;
  • develop competence required for group living and sharing of responsibilities;
  • gain skills in mobilizing community participation;
  • acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude;
  • develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters
  • practice national integration and social harmony.

The NSS unit of Chirala Engineering College is doing Yeoman service since its inception for the socially backward and needy community at large under the untiring and inspiring leadership of our faculty. The NSS has been functioning with the sole aim of “Service to Society”. The institution itself was started primarily to promote quality education to the semi-urban groups near Chirala. By being in the NSS (National Service Scheme), the youth of our country is doing enormous service.

Good infrastructure with labs and huge playground

Infrastructure: Look wise college is good ,college entrance there is a statue of vijayaka which is good and college is full of Grenary. Very peaceful environment and no traffic and pollution.

Hostel: Having Hostel only non AC is available, AC is not there and they charge huge prices. Food is average and they keep non veg weekly once. Breakfast they follow some menu weekly. They reapeat the iteam for every two days.

Infrastructure: Yes..CEC has good infrastructure and good greenery environment around the college. Don't join in a college by its infrastructure. Compared to other colleges CEC has good infrastructure

Hostel: The people who are financially low they can join in m welfare hostel which has better food and other resources Coming to management hostel it is quite good compared to welfare food and resources

Infrastructure: The computer infrastructure in collage is nearly 200 computers with own wifi system and best computers that supports all softwares and good for both learning and improving skills

Hostel: For boys both welfare And as management hostels are available and for the girls welfare hostel is available . The welfare hostel is free of cost for Both girls and boys

Infrastructure: Overall it's a good college with good atmosphere and environment and also the academic calendar that comes from JNTUK is also pretty good coming to culture & traditions as well college marks a pretty good in that and nice harmony in the college so that students can actively participate in studies, sports & other cultural activities

Hostel: No hostel facility/faculty is a big major backdrop for the chirala engineering college ,chirala (CECC) They need to sort this major backdrop as soon as possible so non locals can feel free to study here
