To be eligible for the M.C.A. program at CMR Institute of Technology, Bangalore, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognized university. The degree should be in any discipline but candidates must have studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at graduation. Additionally, candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying examination. For reserved category students, the minimum aggregate is 45%. Admission is also subject to performance in the Karnataka PGCET or KMAT entrance exams.

Placement: Placement is one main point of the college. There are lots of companies visiting the college to hire it professional and college provides many opportunities for freshers job role..
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good in terms of facilities but there is lack of play ground in the college.. Every sports happens only in one ground and only basketball court is separate.
Faculty: Faculties in cmrit are well educated and qualified and have great years of experience. Almost faculties have done their PhD and many are pursuing their PhD. Faculties are open to students.
Hostel: Hostel facilities in cmrit is not so great in terms of money students can get better option outside the campus nearby only. Food is decent but the room size could be more big as they charge.
