Questions Asked On College of Military Engineering, Maharashtra

D
Dipanjana Sengupta •  today

To gain admission to the College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune, applicants must mainly take the JEE Main exam for undergraduate engineering courses, as MHT CET is not typically accepted for CME. Diploma holders are eligible for lateral entry into the second year of engineering programs but must appear for specific entrance exams like the Maharashtra Direct Second Year Engineering Admission under the Maharashtra CET framework, although some may also consider JEE Main scores if mentioned in the guidelines. General eligibility for JEE Main includes completing 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, while diploma holders usually do not need to complete class 10+2 if they have a three-year engineering diploma. Eligible candidates should check the official admission notifications released by CME Pune or the website for detailed guidelines and prepare accordingly.

If you are allotted a seat via MHT CET 2025 counselling, you will be required to login to the MHT CET candidate portal and select the “Accept and Freeze” option. After the option has been selected, you will be issued a provisional seat allotment letter with details of college and branch and the details of seat confirmation fee to be paid. You will have to pay the requiste fee and report to the allotted institute to complete the admission procedure.

Hi,

There are primarily two main routes to get admission to College of Military Engineering: Technical Entry Scheme (TES) or through entrance exams like JEE Main and MHT CET. For admission through entrance exams, you need to qualify for either JEE Main or MHT CET with a good score, appear for an SSB interview, and clear the medical exam. For admission through TES, you need to appear for the written test and qualify, appear for an SSB interview, and clear the medical exam. As per the eligibility criteria, you need to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks.

Dear Student,

No, marine engineering specialisation is not available at the College of Military Engineering. The courses offered by the institute are at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels with several specialisations like electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, digital engineering and more. Unfortunately, marine engineering is not offered at the institute yet. However, in case the authorities introduce marine engineering specialisation, you will be notified here on this page.

Hope this helps!

Dear Divyanshi Singh,

The medical examination for CME Pune focuses on ensuring candidates' physical and mental fitness for the demands of military service. Candidates must be physically fit and able to perform various physical exercises and activities. The medical examination is conducted by a board of military doctors appointed by the Ministry of Defence. The standards mentioned above are general guidelines and may be subject to change.
