The eligibility criteria for the M.Phil. (Master of Philosophy) degree at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in India require candidates to possess a postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Additionally, applicants must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade in their qualifying examination. However, a relaxation of 5% is provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and differently-abled categories. Admissions are based on a merit system, with candidates being shortlisted and called for a written test and/or interview. The final selection is based on the performance in these assessments, along with the candidate's academic record and research proposal.
