About Footwear Design & Development Institute Ankleshwar
Footwear Design and Development Institute Ankleshwar, popularly known as FDDI Ankleshwar, was established in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Since its inception, the institute has been focused on addressing the knowledge and skill gap in the areas of footwear, leather accessories, and lifestyle product designing. Moreover, it has been granted the status of ‘An Institution of National Importance’ under the FDDI Act 2017.
FDDI Ankleshwar is approved by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The institute also has prestigious certifications and accreditations such as ISO 17025 accreditation by DAkkS- Germany, SATRA Technology Center- UK accreditation, ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 certifications, and Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification among various others.
