Passed or appeared in 3 years Diploma Engineering Examination from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE & VT), Odisha / from an AICTE approved Institute / from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.

The native of Odisha as well as the outside state candidates who have prosecuted their study for the qualifying examination in an Institute in Odisha having approval from the competent authority are eligible for admission under Lateral Entry. But, separate merit list shall be drawn for such outside state candidates and they will be allowed for admission in the remaining vacant seats, if any, after the state merit list is fully exhausted through centralized counseling conducted by the OJEE committee. Results of final diploma examination must be available on the date of document verification during counseling.

• GATE qualified candidates
• Non-GATE qualified candidates, having CGPA 6.5 (10 point scale) or 60% marks in B.Tech/BE examination are required to appear at an On-line Test.
• GATE qualified candidates, pass or appearing in MCA examination from a recognized university with CGPA 6.5 or 60% marks, eligible only for M. Tech in Computer Science.
