Overall: The overall review of Information Technology department is well good and is the biggest department in the whole Gauhati University campus will well maintain labs and classrooms. Good well qualified teachers with good teaching quality.
Placement: Placement are not so good as private institutions. Placements are only for BTech graduates not for MTech. No placements for MTech students basically focus on papers and projects.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of information technology department is good and along with it have well washrooms, AC classrooms, clean building. The Information Technology department have well labs with good computers having GPU and wifi facility in the department.
Faculty: Faculty in Information Technology Department are Good and well qualified. All the faculties have good teaching quality and one to one mentor for M Tech students for their projects. All the faculty have Phd degree.
Hostel: There is hostel facilty for both boys and girls in the campus of the University. Along with the hostels each hostel have mess facilty with it. The Hostels are clean and well maintained by staffs and warden.
