Overall: Very good university for northeast . you can visit and do a course location jalukbari very eco friendly well professor and good staff very good must visit

Placement: Gauhati University, has a robust placement cell offering fine placement opportunities for almost all the courses. The university's placement cell connects students with top recruiters from the private and public sectors. The Median salary of Gauhati University was in the range of INR 3.2 LPA - INR 4.4 LPA from various UG courses while the median salary for PG courses stood in the range of INR 7 LPA.

Infrastructure: it has a very big auditorium, and a badminton court basketball court digital classrooms test labs big seminar hall digital library tenniss court and wifi campus

Hostel: Guwahati university has a experience and excellent hostel service for boys and girls. and very safe for girls and boys also and care taker o hostel was very kind staff and well maintained

Overall: Guwahati University is one of the best universities and have multiple colleges affiliated under our university only so it’s degree is very much valuable for all the students.

Placement: Placement college placement as well as student placement from huge companies like Microsoft Deloitte and various others inside our college campus only as well as they get other placements as well

Infrastructure: We have a very good infrastructure so students never get any problem in travelling for coming to college and going home as the roads are very much connected we don’t have any issue in hostels we have large hostels available for boys and girls both

Faculty: We have various departments like Masters department commerce department science department humanities department history department economics department electronics department IT department and many others and all are very much passionate for their department

Hostel: We have a large number of boys hostel as well as girls hostel inside our college campus only so our students never have to go out of the campus for any activities and they can study stay play and enjoy their college life

Overall: Various events like Freshers, Valedictory, College Week, Departmental Fest, Seminar, College Selection, and many more are organized in this college. They ensure that every students get the good placing.

Placement: The placements were excellent. About 95% of the students got placed and the highest package offered was Rs. 17 lakhs per annum, the lowest salary package was Rs. 4 lakhs per annum, and the average salary package was Rs. 6.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Facilities include a library, computer lab, bus and hostel service, students activities center, counseling cell, personality cell, educational loan, air-conditioner, Wi-Fi, etc

Faculty: The faculty was knowledgeable and highly educated, and they are always ready with the solution to every question. The faculty members use proper and convenient teaching methods

Hostel: There is two bed in one room for two people , each have wardrobe and table light. I can say that meal is good in mess and in menu. There is an market area near to the campus.

Overall: Gauhati University has the best IT department with top notch laboratories and faculties. On campus, extra-curricular activities were conducted. To showcase your skills you can also join clubs. The professors were top notch. The taught us the core subjects very intricately. Exams for the semesters were held as per schedule. You have to maintain an 80-90% attendance in both theory and practical classes. Overall, the university was a great place to study.

Placement: Around 60% students secured placements from our IT department. Many opted for higher studies as well. The average package was Rs 5 LPA. The highest package was around Rs 7 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Dell, L&T, etc. hired students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities were great. A new library and auditorium are to be built along with several new buildings. The computer lab is excellent and is well updated with all the modern equipment and software. The canteen food was affordable, starting from Rs 20.

Faculty: The faculty team was highly competent in their respective fields. They were very supportive. The course material was pertinent to the college entrance exam. The semester exams were easy, there was a 100% pass rate. The teachers made sure that every student worked hard to pass the exams.

Hostel: The hostels were good. The quality of food was average and could have been better. Many facilities were available and there was also a common room. The fees were reasonable.

Overall: Gauhati University is a good choice for BTech for students of Assam. I completed my BTech ECE from the university 2018. My admission was based in JEE Main. But, students can apply through Assam CEE too. My course fee was INR 78,000.

Placement: BTech placements were average at our university. Most of my batch mates entered the IT sector after BTech. They received packages of around INR 4-5 lakhs. I decided to get admission to MTech.

Infrastructure: Our university has a big and sustainable campus. The entire campus is spread across 484 acres. There is also a botanical garden on 2 acres. Life on the campus is really soothing. I really enjoyed my campus days.

Faculty: Our teachers were experienced and well-behaved. They never expressed annoyance over any kind of academic query. They supported us through and through our academic journey.

Hostel: There are a total of 12 hostels for boys. Hostel accommodation at our university is quite affordable. Students can stay at hotels for as low as INR 3500. Research scholars have a separate hostel.

Overall: Guwahati university have good infrastructure, in which good facilities are there like different labs for every department . Faculties are always ready for support the students.
