Gauhati University Placements 2024 - Average & Highest Package, Percentage

Gauhati University placement report 2023 has not been released by the university. However, we can get the placement data 2023 from its NIRF report 2024. As per the report, a total of 75 out of 130 students from the four-year UG programme were placed with a median package of Rs 5.25 LPA during Gauhati University placements 2023. The median package offered to students from the three-year UG programmes was Rs 4.25 LPA. The placement percentage at Gauhati University for these three-year UG programmes was 40%.

On the other hand, during Gauhati University placement drives 2022, the placement percentage for four-year UG programmes stood at 52%. The median package offered to these students in 2022 was Rs 4.40 LPA. In 2022, a total of 120 students graduated from the three-year UG programmes out of which 52 students were placed successfully with the median package of Rs 3.50 LPA. Some of the major recruiters that visit the campus during its placement seasons are Cognizant, ONGC, NTPC, Taj Cement, Patel Engineering, Oil India, and many others.

• The median package offered to the four-year UG students increased by 19.5% in 2023 compared to 2022. It was Rs 4.40 LPA in 2022 and Rs 5.25 LPA in 2023. 
• Total number of students placed from the four-year IG programmes went up by 7 in 2023 compared to the previous year and stood at 75. 
• Students from the three-year UG programmes witnessed a rise in the median package offered by 21.5% in 2023 compared to 2022. 
• The total number of students placed from the three-year UG programmes was 52 in 2022 and 48 in 2023. There was a drop of around 8%.
• The median package received by the students from the three-year PG programmes remained the same for 2022 and 2023 at  Rs 7.50 LPA.

During Gauhati University placement drives 2023, a total of 421 students were placed out of 1951 students from the two-year PG programmes. They received a median package of Rs 8.70 LPA. The placement percentage for two-year PG programmes stood at 21.5% in 2023.
