To pursue a Ph.D. at Gauhati University, Guwahati, candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade point average from a recognized university. For SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks required.
