Gauri Shankar Mahavidhyalaya is established in an area which is important all our India at the view point of Historical and Cultural facts. The village Gularia is situated near the town Ahichhatra, Capital of Uttar Panchaal one of the sixteen districts of ancient India. Perhaps people of Ahichhatra might came to Gularia to worship at Gauri Shankar Temple. North Panchaal has contributed too much in development of Vedic Civilization. Various Upnishads and ‘Sutra Granthas’ originated out of north panchaal ‘Yagyavulkya Smiriti’ was also composed in Ahichhatra. The famous Chinese traveller had also visited Ahichhatra during his visit to India. He wrote that Hindu temples, Jain temples and Buddha Stoops were there. The Ahichhatra came in to existence in 6 B.C. The katheria rajputas ruled over here in the 14th century. Perhaps attacks of tughlaq ruined Ahichhatra. It was situated on the way of attackers in ancient India.
