Is Round 5 Final Round for JoSAA Counselling 2024? Until last year, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducted 6 rounds of JoSAA counselling. This year, Round 6 is scraped from the admissions process for all institutes: IIT, NIT, IIIT, and GFTI. Admissions to IITs will strictly be conducted in 5 rounds only. But for NIT + System admissions, two rounds will be held under CSAB Special Counselling 2024. IIT admissions will not be conducted under CSAB Special. Will NIT HS cutoff decrease in JoSAA Round 4 Counselling 2024? The cutoff for the Home State quota in NITs has only decreased from Round 1 to Round 3. Even in Round 4, there is a high chance that, for many courses, the cutoffs may decrease further. However, this decrease might not be observed in all institutions and their corresponding courses as in some institutes, there might not be any vacancy left to fill in Round 4 and Round 5.
