Himachal Pradesh University PhD Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for pursuing a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) degree at Himachal Pradesh University require candidates to have a Master's degree in the relevant field from a recognized university. The minimum aggregate marks required are 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC/non-creamy layer/differently-abled candidates). Additionally, candidates must have qualified in the entrance examination conducted by the university or any other recognized agency. Those who have qualified in UGC/CSIR (JRF) examinations/NET/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship or have passed M.Phil. are exempted from the entrance examination. Eligible applicants will be selected based on their performance in the entrance examination and an interview conducted by the university's research committee.
