IIIT Guwahati Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

IIIT Guwahati admission 2024 is ongoing for B.Tech. JEE Main Session 2 result was released by NTA on its official website on April 24, 2024. Candidates can check their scores and download the scorecards by logging in using their application number and date of birth. IIIT Guwahati admission to B.Tech courses is based on JEE Main followed by a joint counselling process held by JoSAA. JoSAA registration will start on June 10, 2024.

At the PG level, admission to M.Tech programme is based on the GATE exam. The result is out and the admission is over. Students must meet the admission eligibility criteria of their respective courses for IIIT Guwahati admission. 

The students who wish to take admission in one of the courses for B.Tech at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati will have to complete the admission process as well as satisfy the eligibility criteria for B.Tech at Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati. The student will have the choice of choosing between IIIT Guwahati B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and IIIT Guwahati B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).

IIIT Guwahati B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2024

The admission into B.Tech at the Indian Institute of Information Technology is based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains Score. Along with the JEE Mains rank, the student will also be required to pass the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examinations as per the CBSE guidelines. The seat allocation of the applicant will be based on the counseling session that is conducted by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) for the year that the interested applicant wants to join the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati. 

IIIT Guwahati B.Tech Selection Process 2024

The candidates who are interested in taking admission at Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati will have to go through the JEE Main entrance exam. Based on their entrance score, the candidates will be selected for the B.Tech program in IIIT Guwahati. Then the selected candidates will be called for the JoSAA or CSAB counseling sessions. The counseling process will determine the final admission status of the candidates. Document verification and Seat Allotment will be done in the counseling process. The Seat allotment for the IIIT Guwahati will be done as per the JEE rank. In case if there are still any vacant seats, then there will be a spot round of admissions conducted by the Institute.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology provides the applicants with the choice of choosing between IIIT Guwahati M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and IIIT Guwahati M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). The students will also have a specialization in IIIT Guwahati M.Tech in ECE with Communication and Signal Processing. 

IIIT Guwahati M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2024

The interested candidates who wish to take admission in one of the M.Tech courses at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati will have to comply with the eligibility criteria for the course. The minimum eligibility criteria that an applicant will require for taking admission in M.Tech course at IIIT Guwahati is that they must have a Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.0 on a scale of 10 or attain more than 60% marks in their bachelors. Candidates with a GATE Score are preferred by the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati for admission in M.Tech. The candidates will also have to ensure that they have a bachelors degree in the required discipline as mentioned for the particular course.

IIIT Guwahati M.Tech Selection Process 2024

Candidates are first shortlisted based on their CPI (6.0 in a 10 point scale) or marks secured in the qualifying degree. After that, the shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview through email. If there is a test too then it will be mention in the call letter. Candidates will have to come to the Institute Office (at Bongora, Guwahati - 781015) on their own for the admission process. The result for the interview & the test will be declared on the same day. If the candidates are selected for the IIIT Guwahati M.Tech program then they have to pay the first-semester tuition fees (Rs.1,00,000/-) the next day in order to reserve their seat. If any seat remains vacant due to non-payment of fees then the seats will be given to the Waitlisted candidates.
