IIT BHU PhD Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for pursuing a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) degree at IIT Varanasi are as follows. Candidates must hold a master's degree in the respective or related field with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or a CGPA of at least 6.0 on a 10-point scale. For candidates from reserved categories, the minimum aggregate marks requirement is relaxed to 55% or a CGPA of ,, Additionally, applicants must have qualified in a national level examination such as GATE, CSIR-UGC NET, or equivalent. Candidates who have a B.Tech degree from an IIT with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 are also eligible to apply. The selection process includes a written test/interview conducted by the respective department.
