Infrastructure: NIT Trichy’s campus is sprawling and well-equipped with modern facilities that cater to both academic and extracurricular needs. The hostel facilities, while comfortable, required some adjustment on my part, especially in terms of food preferences. While their dedication to imparting education is commendable, I initially faced challenges due to the difference in teaching styles and the language barrier. However, most professors are approachable and willing to provide additional support when needed. The faculty’s involvement in research and their encouragement for students to participate in projects and papers add significant value to the academic experience.
Hostel: Adjusting to the hostel life was a significant aspect of my transition. The rooms are adequately furnished, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, the food served in the hostel mess, predominantly South Indian cuisine initially, was a stark departure from my usual diet. Over time, the introduction of diverse cuisines has made meals more enjoyable. The sense of community within the hostels helped in overcoming homesickness and adapting to the new environment.
