IIT Mandi M.Tech placement cell organises regular industry-university interaction that can help the students get placements in top companies. By offering placements, IIT Mandi strives to facilitate the best possible match between students' abilities and the aspirations of the recruiters. IIT Mandi follows a recruitment process wherein the interested students sit for the campus placements and tests/ interviews are conducted by the recruiting companies as per their recruitment process. Some of the top recruiters of IIT Mandi are Amazon, Microsoft IT, Siemens, Samsung, Wipro, Google, ISRO, ITC, Flipkart, TCS IT, Tata Motors, etc. Among the other highlights of placements this year at IIT Mandi, there has been a 100% rise in the number of Pre-Placement Offers that have been made this year as compared to last year. This year, 34 students have been offered PPOs, whereas, only 17 students had been offered PPOs in the previous academic year.

Yes, IIT MANDI takes foreign nationals admission as an exchange student. Postgraduate students may also come as regular full-time students apart from visiting for a shorter period. For most of the countries, a visa will be required, which should be applied for well in advance.
