    Yes, you can get admission to the 3 year LLB course at Indian Institute of Legal Studies without appearing for the CLAT exam. IILS, Siliguri offers admission to the programme based on merit, which is primarily determined by your performance in the 12th standard examination. According to the course eligibility criteria, you need to have completed your 10+2 (or equivalent) in any stream with a minimum of 45% aggregate. Admission is based on your 12th board percentage and IILS does not require you to appear for the CLAT exam.

    Hi,

    There is no upper age limit to apply for admission to LLB at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies. You can pursue it at any age as long as you meet the educational qualifications.  According to the course eligibility criteria, you need to have completed your 10+2 (or equivalent) in any stream with a minimum of 45% aggregate. Since your percentage in 12th is 62%, you are clearly eligible for admission. You can apply for admission in online or offline mode.

    Hi,

    Yes, the fees for BBA LLB Hons at Indian Institute of Legal Studies for all categories including the SC category of West Bengal domicile is the same. The annual course fee is Rs 3,20,000 for all categories. While the institute offers some fee concessions or scholarships to students belonging to specific categories, it still applies the same fee for all students.

    Hi,

    The classes for all courses at Indian Institute of Legal Studies will begin in August 2024. Hence, the admission for academic year 2024-25 is ongoing. The online admissions are open for BA LLB and you can apply for admission in online mode by visiting the official website at iilsindia.com. For admission, you need to pass 12th in a relevant stream with 45% to 50% aggregate. The admission is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exams or exams like CLAT, AILET, etc.

    The Law Department at LPU is one of the first departments that came up when LPU was taking its shape. According to the NIRF ranking, the Law School is ranked 24th. The vision of the school is studying by books is not a rule of Law. The course aims at preparing the students with an interest to pursue legal education with social sciences to benefit society. Creation of well-trained and dedicated professionals in the legal framework. It also aims at nurturing a graduate with in-depth knowledge of different aspects of laws comprising civil, criminal, taxation, and international laws and ensuring conceptual clarity for judicial services aspirants. Law students are prepared to spot legal issues from a set of hypothetical facts and brainstorm various legal consequences, to be perfect legal professionals. The courses are approved by the Bar Council of India. The Career guidance magazine Higher Education Review has recognized Law School at Lovely Professional University among the top-ten most promising institutions of India for its capability of producing next-gen legal professionals. The eligibility criteria for the course is 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. For SC ST applicants there is 5 percent relaxation while there is 3 percent relaxation for the OBC candidates. In addition to it, for North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants,) there is 5 percent relaxation. The LPU students were invited by Punjab Police for an internship where they were taught the nuances of investigation. The university has an MOU with NLSIU Bangalore for various academic programs.
