Indus International University, Una MCA : Fees, Courses, Eligibility & Admission 2024

Overall: I studied MCA at IIU Una. The main reason for joining this college is that very few colleges in Una and nearby areas offer quality MCA education. One of my neighbour was a student here who suggested I should join this college for MCA. My overall experience here was very good. The campus is situated in the vast green land a serene and peaceful environment is there. Earlier I was scared about the fees seeing the infrastructure and campus. To my surprise, the total annual fees were similar to other MCA colleges in our area. I am happy with the college and my decision.

Placement: Placement cell of IIU is very knowledgeable. I remember getting personality development sessions from Ankit sir before our campus placement drive. The placement for MCA is okay but not excellent. I got two offers out of which I chose Fine Switches where I got Rs 2.8 LPA package.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure on campus is quite decent. We have modern labs with Epson LX-300, LaserJet 1020 and other modern tools for MCA students. The college canteen is decent and we have a lot of warm and homely food available. Other facilities like playground, classroom and library is also good.

Faculty: Faculty at IIU Una deserves appreciation for being so supportive and helpful. Supati Ma'am has supported me a lot when I needed guidance. She calls weaker students to the staff room and helps them to understand the concepts. I thank her for being so supportive.

Hostel: Hostels at IIU are nice. Though I am a nearby resident so I did not opt for hostels but a few of my friends told me that the hostels were nice and clean. The maintenance was very good. Interestingly the mess food was very hygienic and homely.

Overall: As a former student of MCA at Indus International University Una I can say with confidence that it is a decent choice for MCA. It is true that the university can improve the quality of education but the other facilities outweighs this demerit. I am especially thankful to the placement team who helped me land a job after completing my course.

Placement: I was very lucky and thanks to the placement cell I got two job offers and I chose Bajaj Capitals as it offered more salary. I landed a job with a Rs 3.20 LPA package. It is not the highest but it was sufficient for me as a fresher.

Infrastructure: There were 7 blocks inside the campus and it housed a total of 45 classrooms. I studied in the Block 5. All the important buildings like hostels, library, labs, classrooms, etc were located inside the campus.

Faculty: When I got admission to IUU Una I was expecting very strict teachers. To my surprise, the professors of my course were very easygoing and used to teach just to complete the syllabus. However, there were some teachers who were genuinely concerned about their students like Ms Supati Koul.

Hostel: One thing that I love about IIU is the low hostel fees. The college charged only Rs 35,000 per year for the hostel room. At this cost, we got facilities like a warden for supervision, CCTV cameras, clean bathrooms, a common room, etc. There was a hostel mess where you can get both veg and occasional non veg food.
