UCEED 2024 Dates: Exam Pattern, Admit Card, Paper Analysis, Results, & Counselling

UCEED 2024: The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED), held annually by IIT Bombay, serves as a gateway for admissions into B.Des programs at prestigious IITs such as IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur. In addition to the IITs, UCEED scores are recognized by top private design schools such as BITS Pilani, VIT Vellore, and FDDI. This year's exam took place on January 21, 2024, from 9 am to 12 noon. According to student feedback, the UCEED 2024 exam ranged from easy to moderate in difficulty, though some students felt it was a bit lengthy. Unlike UCEED 2023, Part A (aptitude) was extended to 2 hours, while Part B (drawing) remained 1 hour. Additionally, a new question was added to Part B, making it two drawing questions instead of one, which tested both design thinking and sketching skills.

NID DAT 2024 Dates: Exam Pattern, Admit Card, Paper Analysis, Results, & Counselling

NID DAT 2024: The National Institute of Design (NID) conducted the NID DAT 2024 to select students for their Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Master of Design (MDes) programs across various campuses. The exam process consisted of two stages: DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Approximately 15,000 candidates participated in the DAT Prelims. Only those who were shortlisted from this stage advanced to the DAT Mains. The DAT Prelims, held on December 24, 2023, was generally considered to have a moderate level of difficulty, although some candidates noted that the paper was lengthy. Currently, the BDes program accepts 425 students across five campuses: NID Ahmedabad, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh, and NID Assam. Meanwhile, the MDes program offers 347 seats spread across three campuses: NID Ahmedabad, NID Gandhinagar, and NID Bengaluru.

Symbiosis Institute of Design (Deemed University) is expected to conduct the SEED 2025 exam in the second week of January 2025. SEED, short for Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design, is the entry point for various undergraduate design programs offered by SID. This exam aims to identify candidates with the creativity, aptitude, and skills required to excel in design. SEED 2025 will assess candidates on their creative abilities and adaptability. The exam will be held online with remote proctoring, featuring 60 questions. It typically takes place from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on the scheduled day. The application for SEED 2025 is anticipated to open in the fourth week of August 2025.
