With the outstanding infrastructure and faculty support IIT(ISM) is set to become the finest university in terms of Earth Sciences.
Placement: Powered by a strong and efficient Placement Cell, it provides booming placements including PPO and Direct Offers in both core and non core segments. The department of Earth Sciences provide the best core placement in India. Although this year watched a recession on job offers, still the placement are at par with the other IITs.
Infrastructure: The campus of IIT(ISM) boasts the state of infrastructure and can easily beat any other university in terms of infrastructure provided for research and development. Funded by the MoH department of the government it has some of the costliest instruments for research housed inside the Central Research Facility.
Faculty: The faculty power of IIT(ISM) is unmatched. Most of the professors are pass outs and PhD degree holders from the reputed IITs and foreign Universities. The knowledge they behold are at par with the necessity of the course they teach. Under their guidance thousands of students have become successful and more thousands are bound to be successful in their life.
Hostel: Having 7 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel along with an international hostel it has India's largest hostel, Aquamarine Hostel. Being a very old institute the rooms in the older hostel are a bit small and may feel too much packed but the memories that the students create in those small single rooms with 10 friends are never forgotten. Although newer hostels have modern facilities and better and bigger rooms. Every hostel has its own canteen where you can change the monotonous taste of mess food.
