Istituto Marangoni Mumbai Summer Internship Placements

Keeping in view the changing demands of the fashion industry, Istituto Marangoni has framed a new curriculum. The new curriculum aims to give the students a sound understanding and a rich repertoire of experiences that will probably inculcate a capability and a thirst for lifelong learning and will place them on a solid platform for their careers in today's challenging scenario of change.

A considerable part of the engagement programme relies on students' exposure to the industry environment as a part of the course curriculum which is given under the guidance of academia as well as industry experts. The engagement programme, in other words, is a learning process under which the students are provided exposure to a real-life working environment as a part of an academic curriculum that in turn helps them to enhance and develop personal, academic and professional competencies along with a deeper understanding of the inculcated values and ethics that a good professional needs.

Istituto Marangoni revised curriculum is a mixture of workshops, deliberations and interactions involving experts in the fashion industry as well as well-known academicians and industrialists. Istituto Marangoni alumni lay emphasis on the importance and necessity of Industry engagement through

  • Interaction with alumni and industry leaders in the classroom
  • Sponsorship-based classroom projects
  • Industry visits
  • Internships
  • Exposure to fairs and exhibitions

Joint research recommends hands-on practical learning experiences in the fashion industry for the students to be incorporated within the curriculum structure. The industry would definitely plan to be critical of this new perspective. However, engaging and scheduling them in coordination with the industries as per the requirement would go a long way in transacting the new curriculum in the PG & UG Programmes offered by Istituto Marangoni and its campuses.

Istituto Marangoni Mumbai Pre-Placement Offers

Some companies give pre-placement offers to the students of the institute before the campus placements begin. This may be dependent on the previous training, internship, or projects done by the student in that company. To offer job opportunities to all the students, the institute distributes an Industry Mentor Feedback Form. The students who have pre-placement offers need to fill out the form, and they do not participate in on-campus placements. It is done so that other students can also participate and get placed.
