Located near Marine Drive in the City of Dreams, Jai Hind College is considered among Mumbai's most reputed colleges. It was established in 1948 by a group of professors from D.J. Sind College in Karachi and other reputed educationists, with the aim of setting up an exceptional institution of education. The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' grade and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. In 2018, the Union Ministry of HRD and the University of Mumbai conferred Autonomous Status to the college in recognition of its continued academic excellence and all-around growth of students.

The number of female students is more as compared to male students in the college which is quite impressive. We have also found out that students are quite happy with the academics of the college. There are regular as well as visiting faculty in the college that aim to provide the best quality education to students and help them not just academically but in so many aspects of their personality. The fee is also affordable, so students coming from middle-class backgrounds can experience quality education and exceptional facilities.

Jai Hind College Mumbai campus has a state-of-the-art 7-story structure building with a basement and is spread over 1 acre of land. The college is located in the heart of Mumbai and has a well-maintained and spacious campus. Here are some facilities provided to students.

The buildings of Jai Hind College are quite impressive and have good facilities. The college administration takes special measures to maintain the amenities and ensure cleanliness. Outside the classroom, students have a lot to do like play sports, hang out in the canteen, go to the library, etc. However, since there are no hostels inside the college, some students are unable to enjoy campus life and may even face difficulties when searching for accommodation. Also, many students have shared that they have to pay around INR 300-400 to avail of the Wi-Fi facility.

With only INR 3.6 LPA in 2022, the medium packages for UG and PG courses are also not very impressive. Jai Hind College surely needs to work towards getting more students placed with good packages.

However, a handful of students feel that the college is too hyped and it doesn’t really meet their expectations. But those who really want to learn and thrive can definitely get a lot of opportunities to do so at Jai Hind College.
