JIST Jorhat B.Tech : Fees, Courses, Eligibility & Admission 2024

Overall: Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology, in short, JIST is a premier and unique Institute of Assam, situated in Sotai, Jorhat District of Assam. Formerly, it was Science College, established in 1971, as a Degree Science College with Courses in Major Science subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics . In the year 2008, it was renamed as Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology with an aim to expand the Institute. New Departments namely Department of Computer Science and Information Technology was introduced in the year, 2007 by introducing 3 years professional course in B.Sc. (IT) and two Engineering Branches namely, Electronics and Telecommunications (ETC) and Power Electronics and Instrumentation (PE&I) in August, 2009 and two more new branches namely Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering are introduced form the academic session 2016-17. To fulfill the Mission and Vision of the Institute, from this acadmic session i.e August,2016, Post Graduate Degree Courses i.e. M.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics are introduced with due permission from the Affilliating University(Dibrugarh University) in regular mode as well as M.Sc. in Chemistry is introduced from the academic session 2017-18.

Placement: Placement are decent in just.As a student you not aspect a good placement in jist . Etc and Pei department has more placement as compared to other branches.But the packages are less than 10 laks or on an average 5,6 lacs.

Infrastructure: Jorhat science and technology has not a good infrastructure.A lot of work need to be done yet . college does not have a proper auditorium,common room for students etc etc.Also the seminar hall ,classroom,labs are decent. Indoor stadium, placement cell building are under construction.So overall infrastructure like a school not like a engineering college

Faculty: Faculty of jist are Normal like other colleges.They are helpful for students.They are kind and friendly with students. Some of them are temporary and others are permanent.

Hostel: Hostels are average of jist .There are 4 hostels in jist.Two of them for girls other two for boys.Hostels rooms are good in space but the facilities are decent like running water ,food quality etc.

Overall: Hello if you are giving cee and coming to jist then welcome Here I will say you what you will get and you should not expect about this college You should take in this college if just wanna study like hell complete up assignment starting from the 1st year there is no fun that u will have instead of 1000 of assignments That's I guess it's for all college You have zero infrastructure zero means a zero there is no dept wise area messed up classes At last I want to say that yes welcome to jist if you are the one who only want to study like hell Or if u are pursuing anything thenn u can

Placement: Aah I would say don't study here for placement like you have gate and other exams for placements utilize your time there instead of college placement because it's not good or decent pay so rather you study for higher studies or check for other exams

Infrastructure: Hello and welcome to jist The college gets a hell amount of money for infrastructure and development but don't know where the money went and now the money which comes for infrastructure goes and flies away so forget about infrastructure

Overall: One of the best engineering and science collages in jorhat, Assam. It's very roadside that one can communicate easily. Sufficient staff and teachers are there.

Placement: Every year camass takes place in jorhat Institute of science and technology. Students from each engineering department gets job here. There is a good and ideal placement cell in the college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of jorhat Institute of science and technology is vary well. It has enough place. Many construction are going on. Laboratory and workshop are also good.

Faculty: There are sufficient faculty member in jorhat Institute of science and technology. They are very experienced. They help students very much. Every department has sufficient faculty member.

Hostel: Thaer are total three hostels in Jorhat Institute of science and technology. Two for boys and one for girls.Hostels are neat and clean. Food supplied to students is also good.
