KIMDS Ranchi Placements 2023 - Average & Highest Package, Percentage

KIMDS has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell for the job orientation of students. The KIMDS Ranchi training and placement cell looks after the training and placement activities on a continual basis. Headed by a senior professor and placement executives, the team initiates and maintains the Institute-Industry dialogue and manages the summer internship programme and final placement activities for the students. It works in unison with student’s placement representatives chosen from the final year batch. The Training and Placement Cell performs various student’s centric activities including, PDP lectures, preparation of aptitude tests, Mock GDPIs, Industrial visits, Guest lectures, Summer Internships, and many more.

KIMDS Ranchi placements programme is carried out by Campus Placement Programme (CPC) in a vet sysmematic ammner. The institute Campus Placement Programme does not only include inviting recruiters to the campus for KIMDS Ranchi campus drive. The KIMDS CPC also conducts workshops, industrial visits, lectures ato make the final year students industry ready. KIMDS also provides certain assured job certification programmes. 

The outline of the Campus Placement Programme for the convenience of the prospective employers, is given below:  KIMDS Campus Placement opens from 5th Trimester for every batch. Companies interested for the campus process are requested to inform the Placement Coordinator in advance the date on which they wish to visit KIMDS for the campus placement.

After receiving the proposal from interested companies regarding the profile of the position, the KIMDS Placement Cell shall forward the same to students. Online Test, Group Discussions, Interviews and other methods of selection adopted by the organisation are conducted on virtual/physical mode. If required, students may be called for final interviews at the headquarters at the company’s expenses. The placement process can also be conducted through Virtual Platform mode as per the convenience of the organisation.

The candidates placed in one organisation are not allowed to participate in the placement activity for any other organisation, if the remuneration of the 2nd organisation is more than double the 1st one. If any student gets enlisted in more than one organisation then the organisation coming up with the final list first, has the opportunity to take that student in their organisation.

On confirming final selection, the appointment letter issued by the organisation is sent to the candidate through the KIMDS Placement Cell.

• Pre Placement Talk: Companies are expected to deliver a Pre-Placement Presentation to the students communicating all relevant information about the job. If such a presentation is not possible due to any reason, then it is requested to send all relevant details (Job Description, specifications, eligibility criteria, CTC, Designation, etc) in advance to the Placement Coordinator through mail. PPTs can also be held by the company prior to the commencement of the KIMDS Campus Placement Program at the Institute.
• Date of Joining: The students  will be ready to join their respective organisations from May of the next year after the completion of the PGDM programme. The Summer Interns will be ready to undertake SIPs of 6-8 weeks duration between 2nd of May and end of June depending upon the requirements of the project.
• Video Conferencing facility: It can be arranged by the Institute which can be used for presentations or for selection process. In case if any organisation interested to recruit from the Institute but not been able to come down to the campus due to certain reasons, the students may visit to the nearest locations of the organisation’s office or other institute’s campus (pool campus) for the KIMDS campus process. The organisations interested in recruiting through the above mode should send back the response form, in specified format. They should also attach the relevant information about the job along with the form. The KIMDS Placement Cell would coordinate with such organisation to facilitate the campus process.

After the completion of the first year of the programme, students are required to undertake KIMDS Ranchi summer training in the industry for 8-10 weeks (April-June). This training helps students to have first-hand experience working in real-life settings of Industry and Business. It also inter-alia makes them aware of the current industry trends and the necessary skills required to progress in today’s professional environment.

KIMDS Ranchi ICC invites senior professionals from industry sectors like Service Industry, Retail, Banking, Finance, etc to address the students to have exposure to emerging trends in as many sectors of the industry and business as possible, the contemporary developments therein and also the expectations of the industry and business from the future managers.

The interaction provides the student's opportunity to understand from these professionals the reality of the present and the emerging scenario in the world of business and industry. The process of interactions with industry professionals through guest lecturers continues all around the year. 

KIMDS Ranchi ICC maintains regular interactions with the industry or organization with a view to providing the students with exposure and development.
