The institute has hostel facilities to provide accommodation for 787 students.  There are four messes in the hostel campus, which are managed by students themselves. Many newspapers and magazines are subscribed by the hostel library.

Entertainment facilities like TV room, badminton room, gymnasium are also available in hostel. Outdoor and indoor games are also provided for the hostilites. University health centre has extended its services to the students of our hostel. The hostel is administered by the rector and four wardens. New E.PABX system is installed with 80 telephones for better communications.

Advanature Club is an initiative of Invincible. Invincible is an NGO that is run by students of different colleges with the motto of informing people about the adventures and what young India really needs to grow in a better way.

Advanature is a combination of the words 'Adventure' and 'Nature'. This club has been started as initiative in L.D. College Of Engineering and is now spreading in other colleges as well. Advanature works on four themes: Environment Awareness, Heritage and Culture Conservation, Nature Education, Adventure. We work with a motto of creating adventures and conserving heritage and culture.

Under Invincible we are organize many nature education and adventure camps. Students from different colleges are positively responding to these events and camps which are in turn helpful to them in studies and in co-curricular activities. Advanature also organizes very interesting events and does various activities in different colleges. Advanature is basically a club run by the youth, for the youth to get involved in various things that are helpful to them right now as well as in different stages of life.

What makes a university or institute powerful? The resources? We believe it is the ideas, which stem from the people who study or teach in an institute. There is no doubt that L. D. College of Engineering attracts the nation's best minds.

'FOSS Programming Club' aims to strengthen the weak areas as compared to global students of computer sciences. One of it is `Competitive Coding`. `Competitive Coding`, very frankly is a sport and enlists all benefits of it, namely keeping the brain alert and active.

Though these are the areas we prioritize this year, our vision enlists stimulating the young minds to think of new ideas and beat them to death. We wish to create an environment which encourages students to take up challenges in the subject, and more importantly have a culture of completing them, which at the ground level involves having more than a prototype; a product along with a documentation.

Central to all stated above is creating a work culture where we guide the students towards methodically finding a solution to their problems and coming up with results rather than dropping good ideas. 

Activities organized by the club can be broadly organized into Development (Web Development, Open Source, Game/App Development) and programming contests. Lecture series are regularly taken on algorithms, web hijacking, game development and android app development platforms. Club has different sub parts like the “Algorithms Interests Group” and “Developer’s Group”. Apart from activities for its members, club also develops various applications to be used by the campus and college Fest.

During summers, FOSS Programming Club offers a variety of projects to the first year students. It acts as a great learning experience for them as well as exposes them to software development. It has kept an archive of projects previously offered so that students can build above them. Lectures on algorithmic programming are taken throughout the semester as well as in the summer. Weekend Programming Contests are held regularly at its own online judge to increase the interest of students in competitive programming as well as to improve their practice.

Initially the brain child of three students, Mind Palace today is about a year and a half old and is one of the most happening clubs of LDCE with many members. It is the official quizzing club of LDCE and aims to bring a quizzing culture in the college.

The club catches hold of trivia and organizes quizzes on regular intervals in the college. Apart from these, it acts as a bridging gap and has a large enough platform to stay updated with any quizzing or related events happening in the city.

National Service Scheme popularly known as NSS is a student organization which comes under Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. It aims at personality development of students through community linkage & service.

ABU (Asian Pacific Broadcasting Union) Robocon is an international event that is going to be organized in Indonesia in 2015, in which more than 35 countries take part from across the globe including China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, etc. A theme-based competition, for which a specific task is decided, depicts that pre decided theme of the host country. In 2015, the theme was ‘Robominton: Badminton Robo-Game’ which involves a badminton doubles game. To represent one’s own country, initially a national contest is held in all the participating countries and the winner team of that team gets the chance to represent its own country at the international level.

In India, more than 80 top colleges including IITs, NITs, BITS, etc. take part in this contest. LD College of engineering is one of those colleges, which has consistently been taking part in this contest from the last 14 years. Over these years, LD College of Engineering has been able to make its impact at the contest very effectively. In 2012, LD College of Engineering was successful to achieve the prestigious award of ‘Best Innovative Design’. In 2015, Robocon LDCE has been able to stand at respectable 3rd position among the top 84 colleges across the country.

Team Robocon LDCE is also very active in College. Team organize Lakshya fest every year in college and also do the all robotics events in GTU techfest. Team Robocon LDCE has taken an initiative and form Club Robocon LDCE which do different activities for students throughout the year.

VOX POPULI CLUB (commonly abbreviated VP Club) is a socio-cultural club of LDCE, which maintains the years old culture of LDCE. It aims to bring out the best in every LDite by organizing myriad events on the campus during every semester. Our aim is to bring LDites together by providing them a platform to learn new things and work for causes, while still having fun. Many events like Orientation, Break the Ice, Streets, Udaan, Days etc. are held by VP club for the cause mentioned above. The club is handled by the students of LDCE only. Also the members of the club is provided a platform to enhance their managerial skill and much more. Students can enroll themselves in the club in the recruitment session which is held in even semester every year.
